We wanted to go to another one, but there were no places there and we were sent to Gran Vista. The scarecrow was the presence of a large number of steps and, as it seemed to us, remoteness from the sea. We doubted very much that we would swim in the sea. On the first day we really climbed the stairs from the sea to the hotel and counted all 60 steps. Then we found a way out from the reception along a beautiful path almost to the beach. It is very close. From the window there is a beautiful view of the lagoon. In the restaurant, too, they sat down to admire the sea and the wonderful sunset. We had breakfast and dinner. It was quite enough, they even overate because I wanted to try everything. The sea turned out to be surprisingly warm, but the wind blew cold, so we swam for a short time, but with pleasure. It's a good idea to bring a mask and fins with you. Small fishes and sea urchins will please you. Don't forget to wear rubber slippers to protect yourself from the sharp needles of hedgehogs and pebbles. We went to the Plitvice Lakes and the Mar walk. hard to tell. See for yourself. Very friendly attitude. I didn't hear any comments or rejections. . We can say we visited Italy at sparing prices. Or Turkey is resting.

Location:

The hotel is located on the central hill of the Green Lagoon, almost in the very heart of it, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the sea if you have a SeaSide or Sea View room! Yes, after an active holiday, it is sometimes hard to overcome the stairs to go up to the room, but the view! . . It's definitely worth it! : )

Staff:

Polite and attentive, many speak Russian (at the reception, in my opinion, everyone speaks Russian). There was once a trouble with the bathroom - after 10 minutes the master came and fixed it, and in the evening another master came in and checked whether everything was working as it should. Nicely : )

Rooms and architecture of the hotel:

The hotel has 3 stars and consists of four buildings, marked with letters of the Latin alphabet: A, B, C and D. The buildings have 4 floors, there is an elevator only in building C, and only in the part that borders the restaurant, in other elevator buildings no.
There are 2 entrances to the hotel, both leading to the reception: the first is from the path that goes from the fountain and the Laguna Istra hotel, and the second is from the stairs that goes up from the Zorna and Plavi hotels.
The rooms are bright, clean, made in bright colors, with a lot of mirrors, there is a balcony (hereinafter - everything about the SeaSide category rooms, because we lived in just such a room), a bathroom with a shower cabin 1 x 1 m and hair dryer, on the floor - carpet. We got a room in building D on the 3rd floor, of course, the view of the sea : ) But what I would like to grumble about is the soundproofing ...It's just no good! Especially in the bathrooms: there is a kind of "presence effect", if you wish, you can even see and hear through the ventilation grill when a neighbor decides to keep you company : )
The hotel has a small swimming pool, open from 10 to 19 hours. inclusive. The water is fresh. But we did not use the pool, because the weather allowed us to swim in the sea.
Of the minuses, it should be noted:
one.
Lack of a refrigerator in the room (they will put it in your room for about 3 euros per day)
2. Paid Internet access via Wi-Fi, and not cheap. The signal is well caught only at the reception, where the access point hangs, in other places as lucky.
3. A safe is available only at the reception and also costs about 3 euros per day.
4. The bed in the room was a double bed, but consisting of two spring mattresses pushed together, and by the way, quite hard; springs were felt, as a result of which, in the mornings, different parts of the body sometimes rose.

Nutrition:

Buffet style "breakfast - dinner" (HB). The choice of dishes is rich, but, nevertheless, monotonous. The set breakfast is the same every day; something new appears for dinner, but after a few days it repeats again in a circle. On Thursdays, festive dinners are held and treated with seafood delicacies. Drinks (white / red wine, dark / light beer, juice, soda) free of charge (included in the meal price).
They also periodically give roast duck, mussels, rabbit for dinner, on holidays you can taste a roasted pig : ) In general, the food is tasty and satisfying.
Maybe I'm too picky about food, but nevertheless it seemed to me that many dishes were too salty, some undercooked or undercooked, although at first I did not notice this. In addition, once I had to drink activated charcoal after eating a salad with mayonnaise, apparently, the ingredients were yesterday (and with mayonnaise, apparently, therefore there was a clear overkill), so choose food with meaning and do not overeat : )
And yes, on Thursdays during the gala dinners, finding a free table is very problematic, so either go in the front rows with songs and dances, or come back later and be content with what is left.

Infrastructure:
As already mentioned, the hotel is located in the heart of the Green Lagoon, so all the infrastructure is within walking distance: bike / scooter / boat / car rental, tennis courts, beaches, a supermarket, a small market with many useful things, a bank branch with an ATM, a post office , as well as a huge park area for walking! For walks in the evenings, I advise you to grab an LED flashlight - it will not be superfluous! For lovers of noisy evening and night life, there is also something to do, because every evening animation events, discos, etc. take place on the coast near hotels and cafes (except for days when the weather leaves much to be desired).
A separate word about the beach: it is artificially created stone structures such as slabs with ladders for descending into the water, or it has areas for a gentle entry, small pebbles are poured in these places. The beach is free and common to all hotels.
Outside the hotel zone there is a "wild" beach with natural ways to enter the water. In general, it is convenient to enter the water on the equipped sections of the beach. But there is not enough space to spread a towel or a sunbed, in addition, all sunbeds are paid - 25 kunas per day (tribute is collected by the uncle controller). The showers on the beach did not work (as we were told - due to a three-month drought and problems with fresh water on the Istra Peninsula), so we had to go to the room salty : ) There are changing cabins on the beach.

Communication and Internet:

As mentioned above, in the hotel the Internet via Wi-Fi is paid and quite expensive, in addition, its range is very limited.
But at the post office you can easily buy local SIM cards (identity card and contract is not required), but keep in mind: contrary to prevailing stereotypes, cellular communications abroad are much more expensive than in Russia, so you are unlikely to benefit much from local SIM cards whether you get it, unless, of course, you plan to talk to each other or use mobile Internet - then a local SIM card makes sense, calls to Russia will be quite expensive. For example, we used TELE2 travel packages (by the way, TELE2 in the Green Lagoon has excellent 3G! ). They cost 50 kunas each, which are fully transferred to the card account and they provide the opportunity to use 100 Mb of Internet traffic for free (although you need to make at least one paid call for this), after 100 Mb is used up, traffic costs 2 kunas per 1 Mb.
Checking the mail and surfing the Internet a little is the thing, but those who like to register every sneeze on social networks or talkers on Skype in any case will have to fork out or look for free access (it seems to be in cafes on the coast, provided that you order something in them, but we did not check, our 100 MB per person was more than enough for us, after all, we came to relax, and not sit on the Internet).

Transport connection:

The nearest town of Poreč can be reached in 30 minutes. by boat or bus, 35-45 minutes. on a tourist road train or in an hour and a half walking pace along the coast in the park area. Stops of all types of transport (bus / boat / train) - 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. A trip on any of the modes of transport in one direction cost 20 kunas. When the sea is very rough or the weather is bad, the boat does not go.
The ship is noisy (it seems that it has a diesel engine from Ikarus 280, I don’t know, I didn’t check it, but the sound is painfully familiar), but it sails quite quickly and on schedule. The train also runs exactly on schedule, but travels more slowly, stopping at almost every hotel along the way. We didn’t take the bus to Poreč , because we rode it during an excursion to the lakes : ) In addition, you can always catch a taxi (the rate is as you agree) or rent a bike, scooter or car. The nearest intercity bus station is located in Porec, from where you can get buses to almost anywhere in the country. I note that buses, just like driving a car, will cost a lot, because gasoline and diesel are expensive in Croatia, and all major highways (especially autobahns) are paid.

Notes:

one.
If you want to go to bed early (for example, you go on an excursion to the lakes in the morning, which are almost 280 km or 4-5 hours away, or somewhere else), and in the neighboring Laguna Albatros hotel this evening there is an animation program - you can forget about peace until half past 12 at night inclusive. The hosts scream into microphones from the heart, even double-glazed windows do not help. In general, sleep tomorrow on the way in the bus : )

2. Check-in at the hotel starts no earlier than 14:00, and check-out - before 10:00 in the morning, that is, a situation may happen when you have already been evicted, and your bus will arrive only after 4 hours (envy from the tour operator, with TUI, for example, it turns out that way). On the other hand, there is time to go for souvenirs even in Poreč , if for some reason you forgot to do this, or for the last time to swim in the sea, however, you will have to leave your luggage at the reception and without guarantees that no one will get there.

3.
On the beaches, local merchants go on excursions and some kind of tablecloths or scarves (allegedly handmade, they didn’t check and weren’t interested). Contact them or not - it's up to you, but we did not risk it, but went on excursions purchased through our guide. The sellers of excursions came across quite intrusive and sometimes you even had to use foul language to drive them away : )

General impressions:

The rest was good overall, but I can not say that it was great. As it was sung in one song, "two weeks flew by like 4 days ... ", but there were minor factors that spoiled the impression. For example:

1. The very loud animation from the Albatros Hotel in the evenings was annoying, after all, not everyone comes to have fun until midnight (and sometimes until early morning). A small child, for example, will be very problematic to put to bed with this.

2.
Irritated by the behavior of some compatriots (and some representatives of the European Union, but to a lesser extent), because of which the impression of the rest was spoiled and it became frankly ashamed of their country! For example:
- continuous smoking on the balcony so that it is impossible for everyone living nearby to open the window to ventilate the room!
- at a tasting stop on the way to the lakes, half of the people rushed to pick plums from trees from the nearest site (what prevents them from eating plenty of the same plums during dinner? ), and the other half greedily pounced on bottles of plum brandy and liqueurs, as if the whole principle of life - it's getting drunk to a white state! But this is a tasting, not a drink!
- after a boat trip, some individuals hid unopened bottles of wine in bags and took them out of the ship - what, they don’t give wine in hotels and cafes, and you are such beggars that you are ready to drag everything in a row?
- in the hotel restaurant I noticed one madam, who, without any hesitation, poured juice from the dispenser into a 1.5-liter bottle - I think this is outright rudeness towards the restaurant workers!

I urge you, dear compatriots, to still have a conscience and not spoil the rest for yourself or others!

What exactly is the hotel - such a normal average, there are pluses and minuses. In general, I can recommend for a holiday, if the above disadvantages do not bother you. However, based on the above, unfortunately, I can not give a high rating. When planning a vacation, to be honest, I chose a hotel at random, and in principle (if not for the above minuses) everything would be fine, but next time we will most likely find another place to stay on Croatian soil, and believe me, it really beautiful and worth seeing!

This is my opinion, believe it or not - you decide.

The best hotel ever! We have stayed in this hotel 3 times already. Everything is very good. The sea is clean. Excellent food, on Thursday - fish day (mussels, lobsters, etc. ). A large selection of fresh and canned vegetables, fruits (my husband preferred the latter - he does not digest, for example, cucumbers and plums; )) Ice cream was not given only on a fish day.
Animation is scarce and even very, but we, in fact, chose a hotel with such a parameter. There were children - I don’t know if they were bored or not, although they frolicked very actively in the pool. The disco was in a nearby hotel - the entrance there was unhindered.
Everything is clean and tidy. We were not very lucky with bed linen - we would spill tea, then drip it with a "rescuer" - as soon as the slightest stain appeared, the bed was immediately remade. Towels were changed every day.
Although the repair was made 10 years ago, everything is well-groomed - no scuffs and swelling of the plaster were noticed, the appliances did not break)))
The beaches are clean, but of course special slippers are needed, otherwise you can run into sharp stones, although they warn about this. Fish swim along the bottom, crabs live in stones, they didn’t run into sea urchins, because they weren’t there. The water is clear, but not a tear). There are shallow places (for kids) and deeper ones (sharp descent). We preferred to swim among the rocks (in front of the hotel) - there are less people and noise, and more shadows. The sea is warm, it became especially after July 10, you didn’t even have to get used to it when you enter it.
The air is clean, in the evenings it is filled with the smell of color, unobtrusive, barely perceptible, but unbearably pleasant. .
Seagulls are arrogant, fat and noisy, but they didn’t interfere with sleep, and it’s interesting to watch them - they are not particularly afraid of people.
We went from PAKS: we did not depend on the representative, listened to the informational meeting, asked where we could get a map and bought excursions - that's all, we (the agent Marina) didn't look for it anymore, there was no need.
I will not paint everything, in general, everything suited us, except for the nuances: the last 2 excursions: "Baredine - wine tasting" - a beautiful cave . . that's all, the rest is a scam for shopping; "Sea trip with lunch and a guide" - the food is good, but you will not swim in the Lima Bay - this is the same "Fish Picnic" but with a guide who does not say anything super interesting, and the overpayment is 2 times.
But it was great on the Plitvice Lakes, go - you won't lose anything. It doesn’t seem to me that it’s worth going there for yourself for 2 days - it makes no sense, you will see and understand everything in the proposed 3.5 hours. It’s a pity you can’t swim, I really wanted to “accidentally” slip and dive XD Yes, and canoeing is a fun activity, there are no terrible rapids, they drink brandy and arranged a competition for distillation))
Be ready for high prices - Croatia is (surprisingly) a very expensive country, as the locals admitted to us, "Croats don't buy anything in Croatia", they go to Italy and Slovenia for 2-3 days a month for things and products.
Go, you will not regret, rest your body and soul. Old and faithful friends invite you to their place and are ready to receive you with all their hearts and with the warmth of their hearts.

Rested from 12 to 19 September at the hotel Laguna Gran Vista. I just fell in love with this wonderful country and I advise everyone to definitely come to Croatia! In the guest book of the hotel, I left a wish - to spend more often themed evenings so that the hotel would be more fun.
The hotel rooms are clean and cleaned daily.
The hotel staff is very friendly, they speak Russian.
We are from Ukraine, they even joked with us in Ukrainian!!!
The beach is concreted, there is an access to the sea through the stairs.
We went to the beach of the Dolphin Hotel - there is sand and you can get moderate portions of the sun under palm trees.
I highly recommend this beach.
We went on 2 excursions - Plitvice Lakes and a Fish Picnic to the city of Rovinj, the Lim Fjord and the island of Vrsar - I liked it very much !! ! For the Fish Picnic, it is better to book an excursion through the MONVI TOURS agency - super guys, + an excellent musician - he sang Croatian, Italian songs very beautifully to us.
Croats are nice, good-natured, hospitable people, calm, it was very pleasant to communicate!
I really want to visit Croatia again!

It is close to the airport of Pula (approximately one hour drive), which is very advantageous in terms of departure. The territory of this hotel is simply wonderful: many flowers, various types of palm trees, pine trees. The only negative is that the beach is concreted, and also pebbly in places, as in other places throughout Croatia (it is advisable to buy rubber slippers with spikes for a more comfortable descent to the water, but you still need to be careful, because some places are very slippery), but this does not diminish its attractiveness. … More ▾ It is close to the airport of Pula (approximately one hour drive), which is very advantageous in terms of departure. The water in the sea is very clean and transparent! Wonderful live music!
The room is small but clean and tidy enough. It was cleaned every day (towels were changed daily), the bed was changed once during our stay. The room also had air conditioning, which at a temperature of 40-45 is a necessary attribute.
Meals at the hotel - buffet. We booked half board (breakfast + dinner). There was a lot of food, for every taste (we did not really like the fish). It was easy to live until dinner without lunch, although the bar offered free sandwiches and cakes from 12-00 to 14-00.
Upon arrival at the hotel, our guide suggested a number of excursions. We chose a trip to Plitvice Lakes (550 kunas (1 € = 7.21 kunas)), Pula (220 kunas), Istra tour (345 kunas). We liked all the trips, with the exception of the Istra tour, because. the guide devoted more time to shopping, and there was not enough time for the excursions themselves. I would also like to note that when traveling to Plitvice Lakes, we recommend taking windbreakers and umbrellas with you, because. the weather in this place can be very different from the weather on the coast, but if the weather is good all these things can be left on the bus, DON'T FORGET THE DRINKING WATER (when it's hot it's VERY DRINKING!!! ). You can also go to Porich and Pula yourself. We went to Porec, you can get there by various means of transport: by boat (yellow-blue) 25 minutes, by regular bus 5-10 minutes, by train (yellow-blue) ≈.40-50 minutes. (we went by boat it costs 15 kunas per person).
In general, we can say that the trip was a success, the time was spent VERY WELL. We can definitely recommend this hotel to our family and friends!!!
1 kuna ≈.5 rubles.
