Accommodation near Batur volcano
If you want to make a trek to the Batur volcano in order to meet the sunrise.
It is best to spend the night at the foot of the volcano. Since the rise begins at 4 am, in order to be in time for dawn at 6 o'clock.
There are not so many accommodation options in this area, especially good ones. Most of the housing (Arlina's, Undervolcano II, III, Puri Bening) and one expensive hotel (The Ayu) are located in the village of Toya Bungkah. There are several more options in Kedisan Village (Baruna, Lakeside Hut, Astra Dana, Segara, Surya).
Most of the housing is low standard and already quite old, either and/or overpriced. And even more so if you look at the reviews on these hotels, then almost all the reviews are bad. And as it turned out in life, these reviews justify themselves!
But we are stubborn! )) we did find a great option - Mapa lake view bungalow. Away from the main options, but it's great. Peace and quiet. Brand new and clean house with 2 separate rooms.
It stands on a small hill, which gives a certain privacy to the territory and beautiful views of the lake, Mount Abang. And from the shower you have a view of the Batur volcano itself. The rooms are spacious and bright, without any special decorations, but very concise. And most importantly, the bed is clean and not smelly with dampness and mold (which is a rarity in Bali in relatively cheap housing options). I wholeheartedly recommend it. You can also buy trekking to Batur from them, the price is quite adequate. . because on the street and in other hotels we were offered it much more expensive. And what I liked, the owner absolutely did not impose the purchase of the track, he simply told what and how and how much it costs. By the way, if you don’t want to climb Batur, then you can meet sunrise right in the bed! )) which we did the next day. . the rising sun can be seen directly from the room)) excellent
