The total calculation of the tour for TWO people -
 flights – 80.000 rubles;
 Tokyo – 66.000 rubles;
 Bali - 90.000 rubles.
Total - 240.000 rubles (about $ 8.000).

tokyo airport
http://www. narita-airport. jp/en/
Narita is a modern and comfortable airport with very friendly and helpful staff. There is plenty of information (down to floor plans and bus schedules) on the Internet. Lots of free reference and information brochures with airport and transport maps. Lots of restrooms, well equipped and clean. The currency exchange office is conveniently located in a place that no one will pass by - at the Shuttle Bus platform (an internal unmanned automatic bus between airport terminals), but its operation time from 09 to 20 hours was unsuccessful.

Back at home, of the many ways to get to the hotel, we chose the Limousine bus, which leaves every 15 minutes to the center of Tokyo and calls directly to the central hotels. The fare is 3.000 Y (100 Y ~ $1) per person. There were no traffic jams due to numerous and multi-level interchanges. The bus drove into the parking area of our hotel and dropped us off right at the entrance.

Japanese capital
There is not so much literature on Japan for tourists, before the trip we found and read only a few books - “Japan: a non-standard guide” by Ksenia Golovina and Elena Kozhurina, KARO publishing house St. Petersburg 2006, “Instructions for use: Japan” by Gerhard Dambman, publishing house Ajax-Press Moscow 2006 and a couple of books by Haruki Murakami “Underground. Blind nightmare” and “Underground. Crushing violence ”(about the gas attack of the Aum Senrikyo sect) Eksmo Moscow publishing house 2007.
And on the Internet we met a funny Japanese phrasebook -
Give me a cigarette - Chusha Daijobu
Communal apartment - Nahirata hut.
I work at the factory - Dopota kuyugayku.
You are inquisitive - Noshiro is fussy.
Everywhere is a complete deception - Takitichi atamawata.
To drink would be - Hotsa is inextinguishable.
Help yourself - Nakatika.
Ambulance - Komuto kuyaka.
For good memory - Ikkai omene.
The Japanese are remembered as exceptionally good-natured and friendly people. Their English is not good. However, like us. Once we were exhausted to look for the entrance to the subway we needed and turned to the policeman for help. We were heard by a young Japanese passing by, who undertook to see us off, showed us where and how to buy tickets, led us through the turnstiles, showed the further direction of our movement, and only after that said goodbye.
Basically, the city is built up with 2 and 3-storey houses, while skyscrapers are mostly clustered together in several metropolitan areas.
In the basement of many houses, on special shields polished to a shine, polished plugs (pictured) are installed to a shine to connect something (maybe fire hydrants? Or maybe electric cables? ).
There are many free tourist maps of the city in the metro, indicating shopping centers and attractions.
In all public places (shops, museums, ... ) there are by all means public clean toilets.

Japanese cell phones do not strain and are not visible! In public transport, there are no heart-rending trills of a Japanese car, no stupid cheers: “What are you, where are you? ".
The general impression of Tokyo is that it is a pleasant city for loafers, not burdened with worries.

Sunjuku
http://picturetokyo. com/en/city/shinjuku.html
Our Hilton Tokyo hotel is located in the central business part of the capital not far from the Shinjuku station of the same name of all land vehicles (auto, railway, subway), near the local municipality with the famous observation tower (there is also a tourist information center with a whole hall of free maps of the country and city, descriptions of routes of excursions, brochures of the capital's attractions and other guiding printing), a bunch of other skyscrapers. At many intersections there are stands with a plan of the area.
Next to the hotel is the local clinical hospital, where we first saw the umbrella rolling machine in action. The day turned out to be rainy, hospital visitors came in from the street with wet umbrellas, folded them and inserted them into a special device with long and narrow plastic bags, packing them. Fast, original, dry, free.
There is a lot of reference information on the stands of the hospital, several information computers nearby, and at the entrance there is a traffic controller-manager-parking attendant.
Right outside Shinjuku Station, after the service, the clerks fill up the wine-shops, where they are treated to sets of small skewers made from all parts of chicken and fish.

The curved ~ building of the hotel fits well into the area of skyscrapers and is surrounded by many cafes and restaurants, and in the basement there is a shopping center with surprisingly low prices. There is a free shuttle service to Shinjuku Station. When it rains, umbrellas are provided, which are not in the rooms. The entrance doors of our room 2028 on the 20th floor are equipped with a convenient card lock.
The decor and arrangement of furniture in the room are traditional for Hilton - a bed, a sofa, an armchair, LCD TV 81 cm, a bedside table with three large drawers.
From the window there is an amazing view of the area of skyscrapers.
The day of arrival turned out to be rainy and the roofs of skyscrapers were hidden in fog, and either steam or fog was flowing from the nearby circular building of the shopping center. The central air conditioner in the room was not working at all.
Instead of curtains, sliding Japanese blinds are installed on the window.
The sockets in the room are of the Japanese type with two parallel unequal plates (pictured), the euro socket turned out to be in the singular and only in the bathroom. This was clearly not enough for our electric shaver, two cameras, a camcorder and mobile phones. Adapters can be obtained against receipt at a separate Desk Kaptain Bell in the hotel lobby. Mains voltage 100 V 50 Hz.
The bathroom also has Hilton's branded furnishings with a large wall-to-wall mirror, a bunch of bath-sanitary-perfume-cosmetic bags-tubes-jars and an indispensable telephone.
The toilet bowl reacts to your touch with an increased murmur and other joyful uterine sounds.
In the wardrobe compartment there is the on-duty newspaper The Japan Times, kimono-type bathrobes and slippers, a minibar and an electric kettle with a thermos. But there were no spoons, forks, a knife and an opener.
The breakfast served in the hotel lobby was tasty, varied and plentiful.
There was a swimming pool on the fourth floor of the hotel which we didn't use.
Upon departure, we used the services of the hotel reception to order seats on the Limousine bus to go to Narita airport. The beginning of the route was from our hotel, so we got the most convenient first places in the cabin.

Boeing 747
Flight from Tokyo to Denpasar with JL 729 on the same airline

lasted 6 hours, which we endured much easier, despite the less comfortable conditions - the distance between the seats was slightly less than in the previous flight. The vast majority of passengers are Japanese.
Instead of dinner, we were treated to a dessert with ice cream, which we really liked.
The landing was made at the Ngurah Rai airport in Denpasar, Bali, according to the schedule at 22.25 on May 27.2007. We were met by our guide Gena (tel. 081-239-99-033), who spoke good Russian, with garlands of fresh flowers.

Nusa Dua Bali
The island is picturesque, there are small mountains and a once active volcano.
Most of the hotels are concentrated in several areas of Kuta, Nusa Dua and Sanur in the south of the island.
The rule of the gimlet (right screw) from electrodynamics (and the right direction of rotation of water in the funnel) here in the southern hemisphere of the planet should be called the rule of the left screw, because the rotation of the liquid drained through the funnel will be counterclockwise.
The egg-shaped peninsula of Nusa Dua at the southern tip of Bali is populated mainly by five-star hotels with wonderful beaches.
In its central part of the western zone there is a large shopping, entertainment and nutrition center Bali Collection. Housing is concentrated along the central road to the capital of the island, Denpasaru. Along the same road there are heaps of various shops, shops, massage parlors, cafes and restaurants.

Hotel Ayodya Resort Bali (ex. Bali Hilton International)

http://www. ayodyaresortbali. com
The Ayodya Resort Bali is located in the central part of Nusa Dua, to the right of it is a golf club, to the left are the Inna Putry Bali and Grand Hyatt Bali hotels.

The hotel has a large green area of medium neglect with a swampy lagoon, where we observed storks and waterfowl. The main and once stately reception is under renovation, but in the past it was probably the most pompous - on a hillock with fountains, a pool and numerous sculptures. Now the reception is located on the side in the spacious hall on the first floor. This is a common reception for the entire population.
We were taken to the reception of Ayodya Palace.
Ayodya Palace is a separate five-story, closest to the sea, hotel building with a private pool and access to a common beach. For those who live there, some small but pleasant privileges are provided - a separate hall for registration and other services, a separate dining room (with an outdoor terrace and sea views), there is also a small library of several bookcases with books, CDs and DVDs ( one of the shelves was with Russian books, which we replenished with the historical books we brought when we left the hotel), two computers with Internet access (it’s convenient to send mail after dinner or view photos taken during the day), the latest national newspaper Jakarta Post. In addition to the indispensable buffet, Ayodya Palace served free tea and coffee from 15.00 to 16.30, and from 17.00 to 19.30 a variety of alcohol, cocktails, beer, canapes and other small snacks.
All the little pleasures!
True, the presence of a separate reception of Ayodya Palace introduced some confusion when leaving for excursions - not everyone knew about its presence and expected us at the general reception. In this situation, we were helped by the friendly workers of Ayodya Palace.
Our Ayodya Palace was connected with other buildings by a continuous passage through the atriums of winter (if I may say so about them) gardens with fountains.
The hotel's beach, about 300 m long, is not delimited by anything from others and has a clear border of a green lawn (with fungi or ficus trees instead of fungi) and a sandy descent to the water. Framing the bay and breaking the waves is a ridge of coral reefs that are exposed at low tide. For the first three or four days of our stay, it was possible to swim in the sea only until 2 pm, after which the low tide exposed the shallows and the water went 100-150 meters ahead. After the full moon, the tides stopped. As in all resorts, local merchants offered their goods on the beach (shawls, rugs, watches).

Great kites for sale! Beach entertainment agencies also offered their services here (water skiing, scooter, parachute, ... ). At night, the beach is illuminated by two powerful floodlights for night swimming.
The beach area had a shower, a dressing room, a massage corner, a bar, two table tennis tables, two ground chess courts. Towels on the beach, as well as the two pools, are free.
For a trip to the rocks of a nearby cape, they took bicycles for $ 4 per hour per person.
The large communal pool was nice at night.
To transfer photos from a camera to a USB flash drive, we used the hotel's business center on the 2nd floor of the general reception, there was also a copier, fax and, again, the Internet.
The hotel staff is extremely friendly and very chatty. Willingly helps in any problems. We met one of the waitresses of Ayodya Palace named Sunarti.
The mother of two children plays the flute in her free time and participates in local amateur performances, which prepares the team for participation in the competition in Denpasar.

Room 1487
Our Ayodya Ocean View room is 56 sq. m. was on the fourth floor and from its loggia there was an amazing view of the sea, the beach, the lagoon and the hotel pool.
The room was protected from sunlight by two thick curtains, which, with the central air conditioner working well, kept cool.
The room furnishings are typical for Hilton hotels (which it was until last year) - a large bed, a sofa with pillows, a desk and a fruit table, a chest of drawers with large drawers, a suitcase stand, a wall with LCD TV, video and audio CD-DVD turntable, two floor sconces.
Traditionally convenient light control system on the bedside table.
The plastic card for the code lock of the entrance door automatically turns off the power supply of all electrical appliances when leaving, except for the minibar refrigerator. European-type sockets, but there was only one free for charging our videos and cameras. An Internet connection is provided.

In the wardrobe compartment of the hallway of the room there is a safe with an electronic combination lock, an umbrella (twice there were short rains), an ironing board, an iron, a refrigerator and a minibar, a sufficient number of hangers for clothes, terry bathrobes and slippers. In the pillow closet, we were given two Ayodya Palace knitted shirts.
The bathroom was connected to the room by a window with wooden shutters. The bathroom had a bathtub itself, two (rarely found! ) sinks, a separate shower, a hairdryer, a toilet and an indispensable telephone.
There was also another pair of (waffle) bathrobes, three pairs of different towels, and a bunch of various fragrant personal belongings (soap, shampoo, conditioner, cream, bath salt, ... ) in intricate boxes and bottles.
On our large loggia, open on three sides and the closest among all to the sea, there were two medium sofas with pillows and cushions (in the morning it was great to crawl out on them and fill up in the open air). There was also a table with two wooden chairs, a dryer for bathing accessories and a bunch of flowers. During the night, all the remains of fruit on the table were eaten by bats, which made carnivorous circles in the evenings. The floor of the loggia, in contrast to the parquet in the room, was stone.
The sun rose above the horizon right in front of us at 06.00-06.15, after lunch there was a pleasant shadow on the loggia.
The thick book of internal regulations, apparently due to the predominant number of Japanese, was duplicated in Japanese characters.
Laundry services (washing jeans) cost us 24.000 local rupees, which at a rate of 8.000 rupees per dollar will be 75 rubles.
At least twice a day, the room was cleaned (or, as we called it, tidying up), combined with replenishment of the minibar, replenishment of water, a bowl of fruit, bath junk, laying flowers and tiny cakes on pillows.

Island trips and entertainment
Our host was the local Visi Tur Bali (Tragia Shopping Arcade block E2 and 3, Nusa Dua 80361 Bali Indonesia tel. +62-361-772-955, fax +62-361-774-808, e-mail: visi@dps . centrin. net. id, www. visiturbali. com.
Of all the possible excursions, we purchased several from Visi Tur Bali.

A sightseeing tour to the Batur volcano on the shores of the lake of the same name with stops in Denpasar, the village of Ubud masters, the theatrical performance of Baturbulan and the monkey forest in an air-conditioned minivan cost $ 100 for two.
At one of the intersections in Denpasar, a street peddler of newspapers offered two-week-old Komsomolskaya Pravda for 100 rubles. The price of wonderful wooden compositions at a restaurant on the lake with an amazing view of the volcano can be brought down to $ 10. In all outlets of all villages and cities there was always at least one Russian-speaking seller, which was very cool. In the village of Ubud craftsmen, they agreed on the delivery of selected wooden buddhas and compositions to our hotel in the evening of the next day, where we paid them off. In the monkey forest, a bunch of impudent and nimble families of all ages quickly took away from us and ate the bananas bought for them.
Half of one of the days was spent on a trip (www. seebaliadventures. com) worth $ 130 for two on ATVs through some kind of jungle, local village, mountain river, rice fields, cocoa thickets.
Before leaving, we were dressed in the prudently given to us rubber boots and long pants (the buggy's engine is hot, especially when crossing water barriers and you can burn your legs). Skating caused the entire group of 6 people a storm of delight. We fed dinner, showed our photos in slide mode and for $ 40 they recorded them on a CD for us.
The next trip was quieter - on horseback on black sand Saba Beach. Gaiters with Velcro were issued, introduced to the horses and accompanied by local jockeys to the shore. The trip cost us $100.
An interesting walk was held along the seabed near Sanur beach for $138. At a distance from the shore above the sandbar, from a special diving platform, we were lowered down the stairs to the bottom 5-6 meters deep in special heavy helmets with hoses for air supply. We walked past an artificial coral reef, surrounded by fish stuck around on all sides, which we fed with dry food.

I was afraid to take my Pentax Wpi underwater with the maximum diving depth of 1.5 meters indicated in the instructions and had to be content with photographs of local aquanauts. And there was something to shoot!
From beach activities I liked a parachute ($20 per person), scooter racing and water skiing for 15 minutes for $25 and a flying mattress for $30. Speed and height attract!
We visited the place Kuta, which is one big bazaar with a bunch of different cars and horse-drawn vehicles and a huge good sandy beach.
In the town of Jimbaran, we had a seafood dinner at the Measti Kedonganan restaurant at a table right on the sandy beach for 52.000 indore rupees, watching the planes landing and taking off in the dark at Denpasar Airport.
Catering, as in all resorts, a lot. The food is very inexpensive. But the local Balinese coffee is tasteless - well, there is no aroma! Old American dollars in cafes are not accepted or accepted very reluctantly.

Timeshare!
One day, on an evening walk, a local resident flew up to us and began to ardently convince us of something in all the languages \u200b\u200baccessible to him, waving some kind of advertising brochures. During a detailed interrogation of the aborigine, it turned out that he was selling invitations and inviting him to tomorrow's presentation of some hotel, promising a free trip to the hotel from Nusa Dua to Kuta and back with gifts.
We decided to take a look and left him our coordinates. The next morning we were surprised by his punctual call to our room. I had to go. We were taken by jeep to a certain office, where the essence of this event gradually became clear - the recruitment of new timeshare clients.
In a small room, about three or four agents were engaged in this, two Russian girls communicated with us - manager Tatyana from Krasnoyarsk and senior manager (in her words - financial director) Olga from St. Petersburg.
With all the ease of conversation, Tatyana strictly followed the methodology and, to report on her work, illustrated the story with diagrams and sketches.

We heard and read about timeshares before, roughly imagined its scheme and capabilities, and decided to use the opportunity to find out all the details from the original source. This primary source was the Australian club company Royal resorts ( http://www. royalresorts. com. au/), which offers club resorts in India, Indonesia, Thailand and promises to expand its scope of activity throughout Southeast Asia.
The very idea of a timeshare - acquiring the right to rent a room in one of the hotels for a week and exchanging it for other hotels and vacation time - is great, but, as you know, the devil is in the details. These little things we decided to check.
One of the good arguments in favor of timeshare Tatyana correctly chose the financial comparison.
We spent about $6.000 on the trip, and the entrance fee to their club for almost the rest of our lives is only $1.000. The last figure mentioned, of course, is not all the expenses for future vacations (annual fee will be required, additional payments due to changes in vacation conditions, air tickets, ... ), but it impresses with the cheapness of an annual carefree vacation for eternity. But the duration of these eternal times for some reason raises questions. Serve (maintenance, repair, ... ) club hotels only at the expense of membership fees of 300-400 $? Big question! In 7-8 years this money will run out, and constant recruitment of new members will be impossible. So - double, triple sales of the same time, and we have already gone through such scenarios ...
The main drawback is that there is no one to file a claim with, you will have to file a claim with the court and participate in court hearings in Australia.
The whole taisher scheme is built in such a way that no one can ever encroach on real estate and other assets of the club company. Timeshare sells the third link in the chain, and in order to make claims, the club itself needs to know the content of the agreements between them in order to determine the rights and obligations of all links in the chain. We were not allowed to see the contracts between these three legal entities, and I think Tatyana and Olga did not see them either.

To check at least the last link, they asked to look at the constituent documents of the timeshare seller company, whose employees are Tatyana and Olga. We were not given them, referring to their storage (for the sake of our own peace of mind! ) in another company - a depository. Copies - they did not have at hand.
They asked us to look at the draft contract with us in order to find out the terms of payment and the guarantees of our possible vacation.
At first they didn’t give it either, but they took our passport data, referring to the need for its preparation by the company’s lawyers and promising to complete it in 40 minutes. In the meantime, they continued the conversation with us and announced the above figure of our contribution to their serene future vacation. The figure is not very big, but I wanted to strengthen my faith in the upcoming vacation with at least some knowledge of real legal documents.
Our perseverance in lengthy inquiries by Tatyana and Olga ended up with a meeting with a certain Dutch Owner Relations Manager, Ricardo Coppena. I had to communicate with him through Olga. He had no confirmation of any authority to sign the treaty, except for energetic passes with his hands. I could not present a passport or other document proving his identity.
So, during our stay in the company RT Permata Bahari Mandiri, the constituent documents of at least one of the legal entities involved in organizing our future vacation were not presented to us, the identity of the person concluding the contract and his authority to sign it could not be established.
The documents presented to us (or rather, the unwillingness to disclose them! ) did not satisfy us and we did not begin to sign the contract. We were taken to see the nearest apartments, they were really great. At the end of our communication with this indistinct company, we received a consolation gift each - their branded T-shirt.
But! All of the above does not indicate deliberate attempts at fraud. You just need to understand that the ability of a member of a recreation club to protect their rights and make any claims is very, very limited.
We received a winning certificate (1 bonus week in Bali or 2 weeks in Goa) valid for 24 months.
There is an opportunity to try this timeshare. To be continued!

Return flight

Flight JL 720 Denpasar-Tokyo took off on schedule at 23:55 June 10.2007 from Denpasar Airport and landed at 07:55 June 11.2007 at Narita Airport in the capital of Japan.
We had to spend two hours at this airport, so after quickly registering, we went to explore the vast transit zone.
Massage chairs were installed in one of the sectors, which we tested in action. For 200 yen, the mechanical rollers will shrug your legs and give you a good ride on your back. Wonderful feeling.
Managed to buy a bucket of sake and souvenirs.
Flight JL 441 Tokyo-Moscow was delayed by 40 minutes. On this flight, the Japanese were in the minority.
Take-off observation with external video cameras, comfortable clothes, lunch, an interesting book, a porthole, …
Sheremetyevo greeted us with sunshine.
With trepidation, they were waiting for the delivery of luggage, which they handed over back in Denpasar - what if the Asians mix something up! But no, everything arrived as intended.
Evening train number 054 "Grand Express" Moscow-St. Petersburg went home.
This time, tickets were prudently taken by a compartment in the Grand de Luxe carriage, where, in addition to the LCD TV and the amenities we already knew, there was also the shower we needed after long flights.
It would be great to drive in such a compartment for at least 3-4 days!

A photo
Filmed during vacation:
. 140 minutes video on 7 miniDVD camera Sony DCR-DVD105E;
. 278 shots with Olimpus digital camera;
. 1564 shots with a Pentax Optio Wpi camera (1 GB memory card), capable of shooting in water without a special box. For the third year now, it has not failed - the battery is charged for about an hour, its capacity is enough for a long photo day.
