Good day. My husband and I returned from this hotel 3 days ago.
I want to say that we are quite picky, so I will try to describe everything in as much detail as possible.

Good hotel on the first line of the most expensive area in Bali. Looking at all aspects of what we were able to evaluate in 11 nights, we can give a solid 5. I do not put + solely because it was a bit boring.

THE ROAD TO THE HOTEL. It takes 25-30 minutes to drive from Denpasar Airport (there was no traffic at night, it took longer to get back). The guys went to Ubud with us, so they rode until everyone was taken around Nusa Dua and the last to go to their hotel, so keep in mind that many sources write an hour and a half drive to Ubud - in practice, if you don’t take a taxi, but take the tour operator bus and if you are not alone in it, then it will really take up to 3x because Jimbaran, Kuta and Nusa Dua are delivered first.

SETTLEMENT. It was around 12 noon and we were seated right away.

$300 required check-in deposit (cash or card), you can use this balance on the hotel premises (drinks, food, spa, yoga, laundry ...in general, all services) if you do not buy anything during your stay or use your balance is not complete - upon departure, the full or residual amount is returned. I’ll immediately describe the return procedure: come at the end, they give you a statement of all your expenses and checks signed by you, and they take back your 300 bucks, they ask: will you pay in dollars or local rupees. For example, our expenses amounted to $ 270, we gave 300, we gave change in rupees at the most unfavorable rate of the hotel, of course we didn’t need rupees, but when asked to give change in $, they said either they don’t have a dollar, or change in dollars they don't give out.
It was earlier in the morning, there was nowhere to change, including the airport (there is an exchanger there, but there was no departure zone), I had to buy anything so as not to carry unnecessary currency home.

ROOM. There was only one room, so there was nothing to choose from, and they stayed in it. We took the cheapest garden view. About the claimed 35 m2 of space, I would argue that there is enough space, but definitely not much. In general, purely 4+. If you climb into the corners - there are clots and dust. Furniture and fixtures are not new, but everything functioned as it should. Excellent shower - tropical downpour and normal, you stand on the tile where water flows, there is no bath, an adjacent bathroom, all accessories are there (toothbrushes and mini-pastes, soap, gels, shampoos, conditioners). A very large and comfortable bed, 4 pillows, 2 bedside tables, something like a trestle bed to lie down, a desk (in fact, a dressing table? But not a dressing table with a mirror), pull-out shelves, a wardrobe built into the wall is quite normal in size.

The safe is free, as usual. Door without a gap on the bottom, as is often the case. Slippers are not disposable, but good (many people go to the pool in them), bathrobes (you can change them for clean ones, for some reason they also go to the pool). A terrace overlooking the garden and a continuation of our building: 2 soft chairs (definitely, of medium scall, during the rains they are flooded on an ongoing basis - they dry on their own, by the way, you yourself understand), a table, no ashtrays, they didn’t ask. If you spend time on the balcony terrace, you need to ask them to constantly clean it, rains and permanent leaves are a standard theme. (I wrote notes with what needs to be done: they read English perfectly, they understand too) Noise isolation is not bad, but then again, if you sleep at night! Cleaning begins at 7 am, and with it the carts roll back and forth. Comrades sweep the lawn under the window, not every day, but again in the early morning. A strange bird has been singing under the window since 4:30?
every day, but it's nature where to go. From the room you could hear someone coming upstairs from dinner around 11 at night and rattling terribly for about 40 minutes, but is it quite possible that this is just such a neighbor?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION. For any drink, meal and everything that you take in the hotel (and in other hotels), when you receive the invoice, the state tax and service tax are added - a total of 21%. For example, 1 cocktail in Nusa Dua Beach costs 125 tons of rupees - the bill is 151 tons of rupees. AND SO FOR EVERYTHING ABSOLUTELY. If you buy souvenirs - water - food - clothes - ...taxes are also considered outside the hotels, but they are already included in the amount that you see on the menu or on the price tag.

BREAKFASTS are good, everything is delicious, everything is always the same. The composition is changing, for example, vegetable stew, and sausages - chicken for a couple of days, beef for a couple of days, fruits.
Eggs - fried eggs and scrambled eggs (no boiled ones), three types of sausages, two types of cheese, soups, pancakes and pancakes, rice, potatoes, vegetables, all kinds of germinated grains and tofu, many curry dishes, pastries and bread, cakes, fruits: pineapple (you can take it whole), guava, lachi, carom, watermelon (none), melon, papaya, lime, bananas (you can take it with you), there were also fruits, but I don’t know the names. Excellent meat sausages and imitated bacon-type slices of beef. Juices: fresh pineapple, mixed fruits, watermelon (always! ), regular - apple (neochen), mango, guava (ice! ). Coffee, tea, iced tea, water - always in unlimited quantities (you can take it with you). There were no seafood. There is always food, even if you come to the end at 10-30, they will feed you.

LUNCH AND DINNER on the territory of the hotel is available in several restaurants, but expensive. For example, a small meat pizza (they have it everywhere of this size) and two cocktails, and with the addition of a tax in Nusa Dua Beach - under 500 tons of local rupees.
In other hotels figuratively the same and even more expensive. If you want to save money, please complain to BALLI COLLECTION. There will be a paragraph below.

BEACH. Before going here, I had many doubts, you know what impression the municipal beaches create. THE BEACH IS AWESOME - the longest and widest and CLEANEST in the entire line of hotels! Are most of the trees planted here, on which local impudent squirrels jump? Ebb and flow is constantly at different times, it is difficult to calculate whether it is difficult to say strong or not, we did not feel any discomfort. We went to the beaches of 3 different hotels nearby (Weston, The Luxury, Melia resort, Melia The Level, Melia Garden Villas) even to the beach for locals - NUSA DUA BEACH RESORT IS THE COOLEST BEACH. Remove every 2 hours all the leaves! Security on the beach all the time, sunbeds are comfortable. Not enough umbrellas (especially important when it's raining and ten people hang out under one? ). Sun loungers and umbrellas are never cleaned so you can drink wine by the water counting the stars)
In general, in this regard, it is very good.

CLEANING IN THE ROOM. EXCELLENT. I have never seen such cleaning. They just do their job with or without tips, everything is always clean, floors and mirrors are sparkling and everything is there. THERE IS NO DAMP AT ALL (the cheapest room and the first floor) Well, and in those corners with clods that were on arrival, apparently, you just need not to look and we stopped?

TIPS. I got the impression that in the country it is not customary to leave for tea. Perhaps such an attitude in Russian speakers (we still have that reputation around the world ??? ), in general, everything is fine and without a tip. In general, the Balinese are very smart and responsible guys, whether it's a 5 * hotel or a cafe somewhere deep in the city. Once they gave a check for 7 tons more (which is half a dollar - and so funny), so the waitress started counting in front of us and immediately said: Sir, you gave 7 tons more. And we answered that they say to you ....So she was so swollen with happiness!
I think very few people leave a tip, for example, my new Australian girlfriend did not leave a cent at our joint dinner. hmmm. I think part of these orders are caused by the included tax. Moment: when paying the bill outside the hotel, the money is always considered with you.

ANIMATION. Well, that's it. Almost not. I saw yoga at 6 in the morning, I came up to ask for money or for free, the yogi said that it was free. I went further - a signboard lesson 120 tons, approached the receptionist said 120 tons (plus taxes) I went to yoga, I didn’t really like yoga (despite the fact that I do it 4-5 times a week at home), I didn’t go anymore. Water aerobics at 11 am is held in the pool (we never found out for money or not, I doubt that there is something for free here). Music practically does not play anywhere, such a constant sound of water and the singing of strange birds. Boring….

HAPPY HOURS. Every day from 4 to 6 days there is a promotion for drinks 2 for the price of one. Figuratively, you can buy 2 cocktails for $11.
The same theme and in other hotels at different times.

ALL INCLUSIVE. The hotel can be upgraded to *all inclusive*. In this case, there is a separate menu for the bar and cuisine in different restaurants, only a la carte. Keep in mind that if you do not like the salad, you cannot replace it with another according to this system, just like after one restaurant go to try something in another, only a certain number of servings for 1 person. For drinks: sodas, pepsi, juices, local alcohol and a separate cocktail card. The first day of all inclusive works only from 3 days (if you take it for 1 day - it ends at 10 am the next), if you continue the system, for example, for three days - it automatically switches to 24 hours of access to everything, what is on the list, and is uploaded at 10am last. The cost is 75 USD per person (CONSIDER TAXES!! ! ). For two for 1 day - 150 bucks, but in fact 182!

Only once we met a couple of Australians on all inclusive. Unpopular and expensive.

CLEAR. Closer to midnight, the hotel dies out (actually, like the entire coast, with the exception of Melia - is there always life there? ). After one in the morning in Nusa Dua Beach wanted to find no one anywhere.

HOTELS ON THE COAST. Bali is a very hospitable country, you can explore other hotels or order dinner or cocktails from them, relax on a "foreign" beach ...We ate, relaxed and swam in The Luxury, walked around Melia and swam in their pool there with water up to the shoulder and it stinks terribly of bleach). Of course, there are signs like for our members only, but in practice no one touches anyone.

FEBRUARY PERIOD. Two things to know about this month in this area in Bali. one.
The ubiquitous Chinese, it's like an invasion on the occasion of the Chinese New Year ...noisy, pushing (it's clear, there are a lot of them, they are used to surviving at home like this), they come in crowds of 8-12 people with grandmothers and 3-5 cubs, a hubbub from one such family 20 meters around the perimeter, you want to stay away, but they are everywhere and their screams too. 2. Rains - this is not a Sri Lankan downpour. It's getting more serious here. And maybe every two or three hours for an hour to pour. Or maybe not. Of course, you can wait it out or go straight with an umbrella ...but it pours decently. The first 5 days there was 1 rain, not much, the remaining 5 days it was pouring constantly, there was practically no sun, but you still sunbathe evenly.

TAN. Very neat. Many burn out immediately. 50 protection can not be taken, but 30 is mandatory and constantly smeared. I had sunrush on the first day.
NUSA DUA THE MOST EXPENSIVE AREA IN BALI: it affects everything - food, clothes, alcohol, excursions, taxis, spas, ...- and even the dollar exchange rate is the lowest same day). There is a bank at the hotel, the exchange rate is not very good, but tolerable.

BALI COLLECTION. At a distance of 1 km from the hotel there is something like a local supermarket (as they call it) in fact - a cluster of cafe-restaurants and shops with everything your heart desires (there are even original POLO and LACOSTE stores and even a STARBUCKS chain). It is called BALI COLLECTION. There is a beautiful path along the coast leading to this place past 5 hotels - very cool to walk ...very beautiful. The real cost of a taxi there is 13 tons of rupees (download UBER prices three times lower - it's popular here), that is, 1 dollar - if you negotiate with local taxi drivers, the price is 40-70 tons of rupees !! ! On the territory of the complex you can eat figuratively 2 times cheaper than in hotels. BUT AGAIN BY BALI'S MEASUREMENTS IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE.
A typical dinner of 2 soups (or salads) and 2 hot dishes and 2 cocktails and water cost about 370 Rs. I ate only seafood, my husband took meat 2 times - not tasty, defrosted steaks - you know. If you take a large mix plate of seafood for 2 people - 500-600 tons of rupees.
I’ll give you a little guidance on prices in the Bali Collection. Snacks 40-80 tons. Salads 90-110 tons. Hot dish 90-145 tons. Grilled shrimp 45-65 tons per 100 grams, squids 40-50 tons per 100 grams. Steak 145 tons. Everywhere only beef - no pork. Fish figuratively in the cost of shrimp. Crab 145 t. Greek salad 65 t. Water 0.5 15 t. Cocktail 75-90 tons. Wine 550 tons (South Australia is the cheapest).

TAXI. 40-50 dollars to rent a car for a day. Mostly Tayota, Suzuki, Datsun. Use Uber. We found one friend who took us everywhere (Ubud, Kuta, Bali Collection).

GENERAL IMPRESSION.
Thank you for reading to the end.
The country is chic, in Nusa Dua you can hardly feel the flavor, but still it is. Balinese people are happy, smiling and always ready to help.
Very good hotel. Big beautiful beach. Great pools. Cleanliness is everywhere. Lots of greenery. A lot of all sorts of statues, overgrown with moss? Another world, not like anything. Recommend.
