The hotel is located on a quiet street 20 min. walk from the Jaffa Gate of the Old City. There are not many shops and cafes nearby, but you can find them. The rooms are spacious and in very good condition. It should be noted that there are rooms without a balcony - this is exactly what I stayed in. I was not embarrassed by the lack of a balcony, because the view of modern Jerusalem cannot be compared with the panorama of the Old City. Therefore, for those who care about both the view and the balcony, I recommend booking OLD CITY VIEW rooms.
The hotel has a wonderful spa, jewelry stores and a large bar (next to the main restaurant) where you can have a bite to eat in the evening or just relax in a pleasant environment. Rooms are being updated on the 7th floor, but this does not interfere at all. There are a lot of people in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, mostly Israelis. The vast majority of vacationers are Orthodox Jewish families with children. But outside the restaurant you can hardly see people at all, that is, the hotel is not noisy at all. The food is incomparable, a truly huge selection of dishes.
On Friday evening in the room we found a rose, reminiscent of the onset of Shabbat. It was very nice. On Shabbat, the city dies out. Shops and cafes are closed. But that's a completely different story.. .
