In October, a dream came true, we set foot on the Promised Land, the main goal was to see the country, plunge into history, breathe in the air of prayerful places, as they say by hand, touch the origins of 3 great religions, well, just lie on a sandy beach in your free time, periodically dipping into the waters of the Mediterranean seas! Therefore, overpaying extra money for the good of everyday life was not included in the plans. When choosing a hotel, savings were at the forefront. For our planned travel time, this was the cheapest hotel offered in Netanya (Netanya is an ideal place for both organized and independent excursions) hotels ($ 680 for 12 nights for a double room), of course, after reading all the NIGHTMARE reviews, we simply singled out those pluses which you need to use and cons that you can get around!
So I summarize: firstly, now I was choosing between a rating of 4 (you can spend the night if there are no other options) and 5 (it will pull with beer), as you can see, for more picky tourists, I underestimated the rating! Believe me, we had to visit many countries, in hotels of different star ratings, so it is simply IMPOSSIBLE to compare this hotel with anything we have seen before! The condition of the building itself is about 20 years old, as it needs repair, the furniture is correspondingly old (oddly enough, the beds did not creak) both in the rooms and in the hall and dining room, the maids perform minimal cleaning (without looking into the corners and balconies). It’s not bad if before going to this hotel you learn a few phrases in Hebrew or have knowledge of English (the first is preferable, because in English you will be given much less information than in Russian! - although only one manager speaks Russian there Hanna - remember this name if you are going to stay at this hotel).
If you can't do without the comfort of a vacation, THE HOTEL IS NOT FOR YOU, you can read no further!! ! If you don’t want to overpay at least $40 per night (the cost of triplets of a similar level, it’s not a fact that it’s better - this is a national feature of the country of Israel! ) - or you just plan another use for this money, I give instructions for mastering Pasala! As you might have guessed, the first impression of the hotel as a whole and the room in particular was SHOCK (we ended up in a shabby Soviet dormitory), then you looked around, checked and found pluses: clean linen (changed after 3 days), snow-white towels (changed daily), clean bathroom, plumbing worked perfectly, in the presence of soap and shampoo, toilet paper.

There is a dressing room in the room with a huge number of hangers on one side and shelves on the other, a mini refrigerator disguised as an old bedside table, a working TV and air conditioning (the latter has been working since the construction of the building, it seems that it has not been cleaned, but it worked in all modes, unfortunately without it in 35-degree heat is indispensable - I had to use it! ). I advise you to walk on the carpet in slippers, it is not cleaned! It’s better not to look at the tables set out on the balcony or take a one-time tablecloth with you (you can use it - of course we didn’t have it, so I tried to look away, but this is our room with a huge balcony, someone’s balcony is small or not at all , and another miracle, the balcony is actually common, because it is simply demarcated with sticks).
Please note that the hotel organizes the storage of valuables of guests in a common safe, access to the safe at certain hours (excluding Saturday), you are given a bag for storing documents (money) and other valuables, they write the room number and last name on it, you seal it and deposit it. We have had no problems! People who received information about the safe in English were not aware of the hours of access to the safe and were very nervous, because they wanted to receive documents early in the morning, and "the key arrives at 9-00 o'clock! ", Therefore, using this free service in advance plan when you need your package! For guests in the hall on the ground floor there is a cooler with drinking cold and hot water (you can bottle it up and take it with you to the beach and excursions - drinking water in the city costs from 3 shekels 1.5 liters and more). We took breakfast at the hotel, they are monotonous and scarce, but you can have a snack!
chopped large fresh tomatoes, cucumbers are offered (do not look for cucumbers from the garden familiar to Russians, in Israel this vegetable has a slightly dried appearance on the market and simply dies in such heat on the second day), bell pepper, hard cheese and cheese, granular cottage cheese, sour cream, yogurt, jam, milk, curdled milk, olives, herring, mackerel, sometimes spicy carrots, portioned butter, boiled eggs, coffee from the machine, buns and bread, I don’t advise you to drink tea - they brew a couple of bags on the kettle, please bring your own and just brew with boiling water in the dining room! We made a salad out of vegetables, we were always brought onion and olive oil upon request. The pluses include the location of the Palace, next to almost opposite the excellent descent to the sea, besides, a 3-minute walk from the elevator to the beach.
It is a 5-minute walk to the central fantan of Netanya, 20 minutes to the Tahana Marquezit bus station, the same amount to the market (there is an excellent Russian store next to the market), the exchange rate is more profitable just in this area, and not on the main street. The center is full of cafes and restaurants for every taste and budget (portions are very large), we got used to buying beer in the store from 6 to 10 shekels (and they take the container for exchange (1.2 shekels a bottle) - you can remember the Soviet Union! ). In short, after three or four days we completely settled in, reconciled ourselves to our place of stay, fully enjoyed the sea, the sun, the sandy beach, nice restaurants, of course, excursions that we purchased on the spot through the Israeli company Metroclub (by the way, with a good discount for a package of 4 excursions ). We visited Tel Aviv on our own - from Tahana Marquezit Netanya to Tahana Marquezit Tel Aviv, a bus ticket costs 9.40 shekels, bus fare 5 around the city.

80, the cost of a taxi (to) from the hotel to the Netanya railway station, including luggage 30 shekels (will be taken in 15 - 20 minutes) - an order can be made from the hotel by phone at the reception, a ticket from the station. Netanya to st. Tel Aviv Ben Gurion 25.50 NIS/person.
Netanya is a nice resort town, of course we were not only in it, we visited Nazareth, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, Caesarea and Haifa. (The story about the journey deserves a separate page). Israel strikes and conquers, an amazing land, interesting people, a lot of impressions! Personally, we received enough positive emotions that could overshadow the shortcomings of our temporary shelter. If you are not embarrassed by the review of the hotel, you do not need to look at the cobwebs in the corners and washed out curtains, then it is quite possible to save 400-600 bucks in 10 days when choosing a hotel level 3-4 * and spend the night in the Palace (with a beer it will pull!
), by the way, at the bottom of the hotel there is a restaurant "Adishi Moms", where in the afternoon set meals - salad + soup + second (normal) for 50 shekels, just don't negotiate there for an "individual tour" - a complete scam, it's better to have a professional guide tell you about Israel only inet!! ! Good luck to everyone who wants to visit this amazing world!! !
