Olympia is located on one of the central streets of Tel Aviv, Hayarkon, across the street from the five-star Herods Hotel and from the Mediterranean Sea. From the outside, the hotel looks like a simple city building (like most hotels in Tel Aviv). Olympia is considered one of the most popular 3* hotels. The rooms are modest, like the appearance of the whole hotel, but clean, tidy! The hotel is suitable for unpretentious tourists who care about the very presence in the Holy Land and who do not pay attention to trifles.

I went to this hotel last year. I liked everything, in relation to "price-quality-location of the hotel" everything fits. The staff is friendly. I prefer active rest. . . left the room at 7 am, returned, barely dragging her legs, late at night and immediately went to bed to gain strength. . . So. . . After 9 pm, persistent phone calls to the room began with annoying offers of intimacy. . . At the same time, it is useless to refuse or not answer calls. . . called every 20-30 minutes again and again. . . until you go downstairs and start arguing with the porter. . . at the same time, they begin to accuse that my friends are calling me, but they have nothing to do with it. . . but after swearing, the calls stopped. . . The result - while the essence and the matter, the dream takes off as if by hand, the mood is not very good. . . Didn't sleep. . . And so three nights in a row. The scheme is as follows: calls - swearing from the porter - silence. . . Until on the fourth morning, she simply unplugged the cord from the telephone socket. . . Would I like to return to this hotel again? I am not sure. . . Will I recommend to friends? I am not sure....

The plumbing is very old, all chipped and cracked. The situation is not that modest, just miserable. The TV was in the room, but showed only one local Russian-language channel. The doors in the rooms slammed into the latches with such a roar that we woke up from it several times a night, the key card was demagnetized. But we were even lucky compared to the rest, because the floor above was poisoned by bedbugs without warning the residents. Our Russian neighbors could not stay in the rooms because of the smell of chemicals. Of the pluses, I only see that the linen was still changed and towels every day, but this, of course, should be. So, if possible, it is worth paying extra and staying better. This hotel spoils the whole impression of the excellent excursion program that we received.

At dinner, the Russian cook herself put food on graters, as in a Soviet canteen. Tea and coffee for dinner are not supposed to be when they began to demand, because. the rooms also do not have a tea table, she replied that they would scold her. We still begged for tea, but the sediment remained! They understand Russian at the reception. They check into the rooms clearly at 14.00, with us the woman was tortured until the appointed time, although the rooms were free. I am a supporter of modest hotels and luxurious excursion programs, but this is just a TERRIBLE DREAM !! !

By the will of fate, we visited 4 rooms during the trip (there were 2 arrivals and we had to change rooms 2 times, although in principle it turned out to change the awl for soap). In the first room with the inscription "non-smoking room" we were met by cigarette-burned bedspreads on the beds. The lighting is poor - only with the help of a sconce near the beds and a table, the sconces were with burnt shades. Chairs are already dilapidated of course. the air conditioner worked only for heat and did not react in any way to our manipulations with the temperature sensor. Because of the air conditioner, they changed the room, twisting it in the second one, they realized that the temperature is set centrally at the entrance, and it doesn’t matter what you turn there in your room - you want 20 degrees or 15. I hope that in summer the temperature is set to cool, otherwise - you can shoot yourself. But the most disgusting thing that struck me was that in all four rooms we found HAIR on the bottom of the bathroom! This means that either the cleaner does not clean the bath after the previous guests, but simply draws the curtain in the bathroom, or the drain does not work well and if someone is washing somewhere upstairs, they pour water into the bath below. In any case - unsanitary conditions. The toilet seat in the first two rooms (uppermost floor) also struck me - it was slick gray. In the second (already changed) room, I tried to wipe it with napkins in every possible way, but the dirt apparently ate into the material of the seat, and even if it is washed, it does not change color already. In any case, even if it is clean, the owner could change such a dumb-looking item. On the second check-in, we got rooms on the 2nd floor. It was a little better with toilets, newer seats. The administrator immediately changed the room for us, remembering that the drain in the sink does not work there. The room he exchanged for us even had a refrigerator (but there was a door to the next room behind the refrigerator, due to the presence of the door there was increased audibility with the neighbors), but the door in the bathroom did not slam shut (the lock was broken) and the light bulb in the hallway burned out. And of course the hair in the bathroom was again present (maybe by the season that cleaning lady will be fired and you will have better luck with this hotel, but we had it like this)

The hotel has good (kosher) breakfasts, i. e. you will not see meat there. Three types of cottage cheese, sour cream, vegetables, eggplant, tuna salad, eggs, poppy seed rolls, tea, coffee, milk. More than enough for breakfast. And most importantly, everything is very fresh and tasty. The hotel is wonderfully located, 5 minutes from the sea, the beaches there are a dream, large, clean, the sand is like flour. 5 minutes in the other direction, and you are in the center - exchange offices, shops (grocery), souvenir shops. Here are rag shopping centers, such as our "Mega", it's further away, along Dezingoff Street, if on foot, then mine is 40. Well, about Israel itself, I will not spread, this is a place where everyone should probably visit once in a lifetime. Yes, by the way, there is no language barrier, the feeling that the entire former Soviet Union moved to Israel. All talkative, smiling, ready to tell everything and help. I liked everything very much, the country, the excursion (there were 5 excursions), accommodation, people. With a 90% chance I will return again.

After passing the checks, we were met and taken to a hotel in Tel Aviv. The hotel was called "Olympia". The hotel is good, clean, the staff is friendly and partially speaking Russian, and if not, then English. Tel Aviv is a mini metropolis, but mini, because everything in Israel is mini. The whole country is miniature, sometimes reminiscent of Wilde's looking glass. And the people in Israel are as warm as their country, always ready to help, and if you get lost, you can easily turn to any passerby, they will help you and even take you to your place. And not to steal, as happens in other southern countries, but simply to help. . From this hotel we were constantly taken on various excursions. The first and most memorable is, of course, Jerusalem. This city amazes with its magnificence. Probably only there the 3 largest religions can coexist. Representatives, which in Jerusalem can be found at every step. Bethlehem is another matter. It does not belong to Israel, which is probably why it looks different. But every Christian must go there. The next excursion was to Haifa, Acre, Caesarea. Again, fairy tales come to mind. This trip reminded me of Simbad's adventures in overseas countries, everything is just as colorful and lively and beautiful. The third excursion was to the north of the country to Galilee. Also a great tour. We were at the place of baptism, took a dip and felt better. After staying in Tel Aviv for 4 nights, we were transferred to Heylat. This is a resort town in the very south of Israel. The coast of Eilat is washed by the Red Sea. The Red Sea is called red because of the unusual reefs. And lovers of marine fauna can dive and admire the abundance of exotic fish. After Eilat we were transferred to the Dead Sea. Well, I don't even know how to characterize this phenomenon of nature. But the phenomenon is definitely not real. And how relaxing. After an annual race for the unrealizable, this is the most effective medicine. I advise everyone. And most importantly, why I am writing is to advise everyone the company through which we booked our wonderful trip. The company "Rubin tourism" is the best assistant when choosing a vacation.
