Stayed at the Shalom Hotel in Tel Aviv in the fall of 2011. The hotel is wonderful! I can recommend to everyone. All photos presented on Booking. com are completely true. I don't know how long ago the renovation was done, but inside everything is new and clean. I really liked the design of the hotel, a wonderful stylish living room with armchairs, tables, on which there are always vases of fresh fruit, newspapers, magazines. All furniture is designed in a single, English style. In general, the hotel is very refined and intelligent. The service is wonderful (funny, but this is the only hotel in my month-long trip to Israel - everything else is also fours and fives - in which the maid neatly folded my pajamas and placed them on the bed: in all the other maids casually threw crumpled pajamas on the nightstand or table ! ! ). The room is small, it has a huge bed, 2 bedside tables, an armchair, a coffee table, a long table that can serve as a writing or dressing room, a flat-screen TV. What is important - with TV, the keyboard is computer, i. e. I think since the hotel has free Wi-Fi in the rooms, you can go online. I myself took a netbook, so I didn’t use this keyboard, I received a password at the reception and talked via Skype with Russia.
Breakfasts are normal, juices are only erupfrutovy and orange, but freshly squeezed. Muesli, buns, oatmeal porridge, various types of herring, cold-smoked mackerel, salted salmon, various vegetables, eggs in all forms, delicious pastries. What is nice, tablecloths and linen napkins for breakfast (in other hotels - only for dinner). Soft classical music plays all the time. There are Russian-speaking employees at the reception. The only negative is the hotel on the second line and go to the beach for about 7 minutes. They give a bag with a beach towel and a bottle of water to the beach.
In the evenings from 17:30 to 19:30 at the hotel - Happy hours. It's something like a five-o-clock, but they also serve alcohol. Champagne, liqueurs, tea in various forms, cookies, snacks, nuts, desserts. I liked the whipped cream. But, since I’m always traveling, I managed to get this watch only twice : -(

Yes, there is also a lovely corner on the roof, which I remembered on the last day and only had time to take a picture. They say they do a free massage, I don’t know - I haven’t tried it.
In general, the hotel left a very good impression, if I come to Israel again, I will stay there.
