I was there last December (2012). Quite a tiny hotel. The rooms are also small and with a minimum of equipment (built-in wardrobe, table, plastic chair and bed), but there is a shower, it worked properly. There is no food at the hotel (only morning tea with toast and an airplane jam package). There is practically nothing in the bar either, but there are many cafes-restaurants nearby, incl. and in neighboring hotels, away from the beach. In North Goa, you will not go hungry anywhere, the food is quite tasty and inexpensive everywhere.
Proximity to the beach of this hotel is its only advantage. Along the path and through the territory of a neighboring hotel or cafe 300-400 meters - and you are on the beach. The beach itself is narrower here than in Calangute (the dirtiest beach in Goa) or in Baga, the waves constantly wash away the coast and artificially strengthen it with huge sandbags. But there are fewer people. No road crossings. You can walk along the coast to the fortified fort of Portuguese times, but you will have to bypass the five-star Taj hotel along the upper road, or swim 100 meters.
Regarding peace and quiet - how lucky you are with your neighbors... God forbid, a Russian company will settle! Instead of rest, you will get a headache and a nervous tic. After all, THEY ARE RELAXING, but they don’t care about others. However, there are a lot of extraneous sounds even without them (dogs, roosters, sometimes a car happens here or to the next hotel), but this is quite tolerable.

In general, I recommend Candolim, but here is the hotel... However, do not despair, you came to RELAX and India is not the worst place for this!
