Hello! In Goa for the second time in three years, so there is something to compare. Last time we went to a 3+ hotel, but "lasted" there only a couple of days, then together with my wife we went from the hotel to the hotel to look for something better and for $ 30 a day we found a very decent option in Calangute. The same time, when my wife found out that we were going to the 2-ku, she was shocked and I reassured her only by the fact that, as a last resort, we would again move to our "backup" last year's option, but... everything was a success!!!
So, in order.
We flew from Kyiv "Fly Dubai" with a transfer in Dubai: 5h. 20 min. to Dubai, about two hours waiting at the airport, and 3 hours 20 minutes. to Goa. The planes are new, takeoff and landing like clockwork, without delays and hitches. Monitors are mounted in the backs of the seats, for $11 you can buy a premium package and watch films in Russian. . . Food and drinks on board, however, are paid, so you can stock up on your own boutiques. Yes, and a bonus back: both flights were half empty, so anyone who wanted to could comfortably sit on three chairs and see peaceful dreams. . .

The hotel itself was at 7 am, the settlement is the same as everywhere else, after 14.00. He offered 30 bucks to the reception for speeding up the process, but the Indian was impregnable: there were no places, the rooms were being cleaned. We left things under supervision and went with my wife to drink coffee with buns. We returned at about half past nine, and were pleasantly surprised: your room is ready, here is the escort, bring your things (without any additional payments).
The room was on the fifth floor, in the central building (there are two more buildings in the garden). Living room with TV, minibar, fan, easy chairs and a balcony overlooking the pool, and a bedroom with modern air conditioning, a bed with excellent mattresses and clean linens (those who have been to India before will understand what I mean) overlooking the garden . By the way, the linen was changed and cleaning was done on request without any problems, in our case, every three days.
Separately, I would like to mention the breakfasts. For India, the standard is tea with two toasts and jam. Here every morning scrambled eggs, Indian porridges and flatbreads. Coffee, tea, toast with butter, honey or jam in unlimited quantities, which was also a pleasant surprise.
The hotel itself has a very good restaurant, where you can choose from everything from lobsters and sharks to traditional Goan and Indian dishes.
In general, we really liked the hotel. By the way, for 10 days of rest, I was filled with a mini-bar three times with beer, water and various drinks, as a result, when I left, I paid about $ 30 for everything.
We will definitely return to Goa again, and if there is such an opportunity, then only to Tiklo.
As for the rest itself, like last time, the sea and beaches are impeccable. The only thing that sometimes strained was the situation with the exchange of money. Upon arrival, the rate was 61 rupees per dollar, after a couple of days it jumped to 65. But if you change banknotes less than 100, get ready that the rate will be "offered" to you at the level of 55 rupees per dollar. At the same time, rupees are given only in large denominations, 2000 or 1000 each, and due to the fact that a monetary reform is taking place in India, and old banknotes are being withdrawn from circulation, you may often not be able to find change in cafes or bazaars, so in advance ask for at least 100 - 500 rupees when exchanging banknotes. But these are all trifles, have a nice rest!! !
