We decided to go away from Kyiv for the May holidays....a tour turned up in Goa, carefully studied all the reviews about this place and flew... immediately upon arrival in Dabolim, we saw the heat from the heat, as it turned out, the comfortable weather season ended and in anticipation of the start of the rainy season (from the end of May to October) there is an abnormal heat.
The Colva Kinara hotel is probably not bad for India... they settled immediately and without problems... a room on the second floor... a balcony... a safe... an air conditioner... relatively clean and comfortable, the view from the window is to the hotel pool , no living creatures were noticed in the room, but if you open the window in the evening, mosquitoes and mosquitoes fly in; I was somewhat surprised by the "flight of thought" of the types who designed the hotel building....for the first time I met such a creative solution for the exhaust ventilation of the toilet leading to the corridor of the hotel... with all the stinking consequences that follow from this creative. . . especially in the morning. . . maybe it's customary among Indians. . .
Separately, I want to draw the attention of future visitors - DO NOT TAKE a tour with breakfasts, because they are not available as such... well, you can’t call breakfast what the hotel has been offering for all these days - bread, butter, jam / tea, coffee is edible. . . then every day the same type, on request, fried an omelette - also edible, but after 3-4 days it starts to flatten... there was still a pitiful semblance of a buffet with four pans (namely four): in the first, as a rule , there was still the same bread, in the second - an unidentified slurry from vegetables with some leaves (usually this slurry was happily eaten by hotel employees who had breakfast after tourists), in the third pan there was always oatmeal (judging by its color - one and the same during my whole stay at the hotel), in the fourth pot - sometimes there were some kind of vegetable donuts, and sometimes something like couscous without salt and other ingredients, and NEVER DURING THESE DAYS WAS THERE NOT THAT WHICH WOULD BE OFFERED FOR BREAKFAST MEAT OR FISH, AND AT LEAST A HINT OF SOY SAUSAGE : ) yes, I almost forgot - there was also a "fruit table" with watermelon juice, sprouted soybeans and a basin with something like kefir... in such a combination and assortment... milk with cucumbers was clearly not enough to complete this series....there was nothing else... no vegetables, no pastries, i. e. nothing at all...

As one lady wrote on this site about breakfasts in Colva Kinara ". . . you will not stay hungry" - theoretically, of course, she is right, but ask yourself the question - why did you conscientiously give for the tour for your own money (moreover, the cost of the tour in Colva Kinara is higher than in the 5 stars of the same Makadi Bay or Hurghada and is comparable to a tour to Thailand), should be fed the diet of a homeless shelter.
The beach - everything is as the previous authors wrote - at the entrance there is a crowd of locals, a clear feeling of being in a zoo, only on the other side of the enclosure: hundreds of eyes are staring at you... annoying. Unfortunately, the experience of the "experienced" about the beach could not be used and the advice ". . walk 300 meters to the right or left... dine in such and such a neck" was not useful... by this moment almost everything on the beach was closed... it was only possible to go to Sukorina, where almost all the white tourists remaining in this part of Kolva clustered together. . 30-35 people. let "Indian tourists" into the shake... I encounter a similar phenomenon for the first time in many years of travel - as soon as any lady (regardless of age) got up from a sun lounger and went to the surf, a crowd immediately ran out of nowhere (5.10 snouts) of the locals and the show began... they intently examined the object of their desire, emotionally discussing what they saw, then they stood near the water, waiting for her to go back, continued to stare after her without taking their eyes off... it all resembled a scene from an old cartoon " Mowgli, where is the monkey and could not take their eyes off Kaa's boa constrictor... a vile sight in a word... they were regularly chased by the beach patrol and Vikki... but the show went on several times every day... given that local aunts bathe in outerwear, apparently the sight of European ladies in bathing suits for these "Indian tourists" was something like a free striptease. . .
It was because of this "friendly atmosphere" on the Colva beach that we went to rest on other beaches - Papillon, Cola, Muber where we did not meet such preoccupied people. Thanks to the taxi driver Elvis - he showed us many interesting places: we went with him every day to Pananji, Morgao and other towns in southern Goa, we also went to Hampi with him and were able to see this place in one day. And also, given the prices for excursions offered by the tour operator, with Elvis it came out twice, and sometimes three times cheaper. Taxi prices are also significantly different, those drivers who have rented cars ask more for the trip....we are apparently lucky - the season is almost over... there is little work for a taxi, in addition, Elvis has his own car - that's what happened with him arrange for the whole time of our stay cheaply.
As a result, I liked the trip, as for me, you can go to Goa once for educational purposes, but I won’t go there the second time... I see no reason to waste time and money where at least minimal efforts are not made to ensure a paid level service and safety of guests.
