I want to share my successful experience in organizing children's holidays in Italy.

Last year, I really wanted to send my children (10 and 13 years old) on vacation to Italy. I reviewed many programs, in Italy there are camps by the sea, in the mountains, many language programs. There are visiting programs organized by Russian travel companies. At some point, I was lost and did not know what to choose. But suddenly I saw dazzling photographs from the Tuscan camp of Canadinan Island. And my choice was made! The holiday went well, the children were very happy. Made new international friends, soaked in Italian culture, got healthier and tanned! I share the main points that I really liked in the Canadian Island camp:

Learning Languages

The camp is organized by Maria Rocco, a Canadian of Italian origin. Most of the staff are Canadians and Americans. The camp is located in Tuscany and, therefore, Italian is also spoken here. If you are looking for options to improve your language, you definitely need to go abroad and immerse yourself in the natural language environment. Canadian Island is a super language solution: kids live in the beautiful Tuscan hills, in a mild climate, and still speak English with native speakers. And they will certainly learn a couple of words in Italian too.

Location

For me, the ecology and climate during the holidays play an important role. The mild climate of Italy, the picturesque hills of Tuscany, organic products are important advantages when choosing a camp in Italy. Children live in old villas among olive groves with access to the clear sea. On the territory there is a swimming pool, playgrounds and everything that contributes to long-term active rest and recreation in the fresh air. A good bonus is the location near famous historical sites. As a rule, such camps offer excursions to their vacationers. Italy is home to 80% of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, so trips to significant historical sites are usually included in the entertainment program for children.

Classes I'm in the camp

At the Canadian Island language camp, the training program is designed in such a way that the child not only learns a foreign language, but also acquires skills that will help him in life. For example: lighting a fire, cooking, hiking, working in the garden, painting in oils, working with ceramics, riding horses.

Living conditions

The rooms in which the children live are impressive. There are rooms for four to six people, and there are rooms that accommodate up to eight children. Children love being together. Most rooms have private bathrooms. All rooms are within earshot of the caregivers and are equipped with an unlockable door, but at the same time the children sleep on their own. Children like to have their own personal space "without adults".

I highly recommend it! A great option for summer holidays for children in Europe.
