Trip to Chianti!
In search of salvation from the Florentine heat, without bothering for a long time, my friends and I found Borgo di Pietrafitta apartments on the Internet, and immediately decided to go to clean, fresh air, away from the bustle of the city. Castellina in Chianti is located on a hill between Florence and Siena. Everything is green around and you can see the world-famous vineyards.
Upon arrival, we were met by Cinzia, the director of the structure, who showed us the territory, told about the sights, traditional wine tasting, and local restaurants ...Our Russian-Italian company of seven people was located in a separate Torrino house (there are only two of them, the rest are all apartments ). The house was beautiful, clean, the feeling that you are in your country house, only with a greater choice of services! The atmosphere of complete relaxation, quiet, calm (it was before us ). After accommodation and a walk around the territory, we went to the Albergaccio restaurant, where we had a very tasty meal.
Then we drove to San Gimignano, 30 km from Castellina in Chianti, famous as the city of towers, in the 9th century there were 72 of them, today only 16 have survived, but they still impress with their singularity. After enjoying the Chianti Classico, which we tasted on the way back, we popped into the local supermarket and stocked up on all sorts of food and alcohol (there is no restaurant in the hotel), after which our noisy company had fun all night!
"In the morning", having slept, we swept to Monteriggioni (Monteriggioni), a unique city-fortress, where to this day everything has been preserved in its original form, when the city itself was built in the 12th century! ! We stopped in Siena, where we walked along the main square Piazza del Campo, made in the shape of a shell, went to the Duomo Cathedral of Siena. On the way to Borgo di Pietrafitta, we probably stopped by all the wineries, since in Italy the limit is 0.5 ppm.
When we returned, the already set table and personal chef Graziella were waiting for us, who gave us a tasting of traditional local dishes and wines (the services of the cook are ordered in advance).
The next day passed in complete tranquility on the sunbeds by the pool, where we gained strength for the evening by swimming and occasionally playing cards ...And in the evening we fried a barbecue, steamed according to a traditional Russian recipe, since there is a barbecue area on the territory (by the way ). Italian friends really liked the Russian tradition - vodka with meat, or meat with vodka (whichever is more convenient for you), and they didn’t even think about wine ...
The holiday was a success, although it was not long! But it was fun, beautiful and sincere! !
