Italy for beginners!
Good afternoon! We rested in Rimini. The weather was great, always warm. I'll start the story in order. Deception! ! ! We arrived at the airport in Rimini, we were very thirsty, next to the desks of tour operators there is a small cafe, on the refrigerator there is an inscription: acqua 1.5 euros. Great, I buy, I give 10 euros, I get 4 for change, I didn’t look right away, then I discovered that something else was broken in the check, as it turned out later, some kind of sandwich was broken with water for 4.5 euros. BE CAREFUL! We flew through the tour operator TUI, there is also something to tell here. We flew from Domodedovo to Rimini, the flight was excellent, the pilot, the crew, the food, everything was super, the plane was so-so, but this is an economy class. We were not met immediately, while we stood in line at the counter, an hour passed, another 30 minutes were sitting on the bus (transfer), the buses are also good. Our guide Lilia, on the way to the hotel, handed out brochures and maps, we used all this, it helped a lot, as well as price lists for excursions with a schedule.
We went to many places ourselves, they took an excursion to Rome. The excursion is good, probably in Rome for one day, it would not have been better. But attention divorce! The tour cost 105 euros per person, this is only for travel and a guide in Rome, separately we were charged another 30 euros per person to go to the Roman Forum and visit the Colosseum, although tickets there are cheaper, for example, to the Roman Forum 12 euros . It is best to visit such places on our own, with a guide we stood near the palace of the Goddess Vesta and did not go further. In the Colosseum, also 5 minutes for everything! ! ! Again, the organization is very good, everything is according to plan, you get a map with the places of nailing and the route in advance, you won’t get lost! Stopped for breakfast and dinner for 30 minutes. It is better to take something to eat with you, in those places where tour buses stop, everything is sooo expensive and not very tasty! ! ! Also in Rome, there was a stop for 30 minutes at the Trevi Fountain, full of cafes, you can have a very good and not expensive meal.
And have dinner in a decent cafe or restaurant. Souvenir shops will also impose on you, as a rule, guides on a percentage, so go to neighboring shops (especially in front of the Vatican, there are many), the same products will be cheaper. But we still have a lot of positive emotions from this trip. There are no complaints about the tour operator.
Our hotel Marittima 3 *, the location is excellent, 5 minutes from the sea (beach number 44, literally across the road). Center nearby.
We went to the Republic of San Marino ourselves, we were very tired. We spent 18 euros on the road for 2, there and back, buses every hour. Timetables and tickets for Rimini can be bought at the square. next to the church, this is a famous place for all tourists, there are always a lot of buses and people there. The main attraction of San Marino is Mount Titano, stunning beauty. Worth a trip, spend the whole day there! Cafes, restaurants, relatively Rimini, not expensive. I warn you! ! !
Do not buy wine in Igor's shop, his shop is located at the entrance, there are always a lot of tourists there! He scores his head so much, we believed, imbued, bought not cheap, but drank at home and got poisoned! ! ! There can be serious consequences! Wine can be bought in the Sonad store, not expensive and not scary))) But remember, for each excess, at the airport you will pay 10 euros))) By the way, in the Sonad store, both tourists and Italians buy everything. Prices are the same as in our supermarkets. There is absolutely everything! Many people go shopping in Rimini, we are not fans, but we really wanted to buy something. Look for the Coin store (go from the square, towards the arch of August and it will be on the left), there are all brands, for every taste, in the discount season this store is just a godsend! The city of Rimini is very cozy, not big, beautiful and inviting. Sandy beaches, clean and picturesque streets.
Rimini was a port city and it has a rich, interesting history, many monuments, please, walk in the center, you can see and understand a lot about the life of Italians "before" and "after". . However, on the central resort streets (1st and 2nd beach lines) it is very noisy, stuffy and lively. Many of our compatriots speak Russian in all cafes and restaurants. Prices are the same everywhere salad 5-8, pasta, risotto, lasagna 7-18, pizza 6-10, wine spill. 6-10 for 0.5. Everything is delicious! ! ! We visited Mirabilland, by train yourself, take a ticket in advance, there are machines at the railway station (attention! not everyone accepts cash, especially at stations, payment only by card! There is no grandmother at the station, only devices). A ticket for the 1st cost 6 euros. Entrance ticket to the Mirabilandia Park 37 euros for 1 adult, for 2 days. A lot of fun, a lot of rides, but the queues are huge, for the most popular ones for an hour and a half. According to
Rimini bus (tram) No. 11 runs, it is the most necessary for you, buy tickets at newsstands for 1.5 euros, punch through the bus, there are modern electronic composters, the ticket is valid for exactly 1 hour, you can get in and out. In Italy, there are simply amazing people, friendly, smiling, wonderful. I studied the language a little before the trip, they are so happy if you speak Italian with them. They understand English poorly, only the most necessary words and phrases, some know Russian. We will definitely visit Italy, I hope more than once, this is a magical country, very hospitable. I fell in love with Italy! I haven’t been to a lot of places, I’m sorry ...Now I would advise everyone (if the sea is not important for you), find a good hotel with a pool in Rome, live and enjoy Rome, the sea is 20 km away, by the way, you can and go there. And travel around the cities and places of Italy. Next time we'll go that way! Have a nice holiday!
Sincerely, Svetlana.
