We came to Ischia for the first time. We chose the hotel in such a way as to improve our health to the maximum and walk less, as my wife had a leg pain. Arrived May 21st for a week.
The hotel is located on the territory of the thermal park of the same name. The hotel office is upstairs next to the road. To call it "reception" language will not turn. Just an accounting office. We were there only for check-in and check-out.
A little lower there is a checkpoint and a funicular. In addition to the guests, the park is visited daily by tourists. The park is free for residents.
At the first stop of the funicular, there is a complex with indoor pools and a clinic. The clinic offers mud treatment and massages. In the closed complex there is a sauna, a bit like a Russian bath, as the stream of hot water flows along the wall onto the stones and a large amount of steam is constantly generated.
In addition, the complex has a swimming pool with 32 degrees, 38 degrees, paths for foot massage,

jacuzzi. In the hottest pool there is a vibration massage for 2 people at once for the whole body. The massagers are turned on with buttons on the side of the pools. In the clinic's office, to the right of the entrance, there is a samovar, which is charged with special tea twice a day. You can come and pour. If the weather is good, then the roof is slightly opened.
The next and final stop of the funicular is at the cloakroom, where you can rent bathrobes and towels. Below the ledges there are 3 more thermal pools with 34.32, 30 degrees. Nearby is the Ullis Bar. You can buy drinks there. Coffee 2.5 euros, tea the same amount. As we were explained, Italians drink tea only for colds. And coffee the rest of the time. Therefore, they sincerely do not understand why they order it. A Krombacher beer costs 4.5 euros. The quality is excellent. A glass of champagne 3.5 euros. Bottle - 18. Table wine 10 euros - liter. Bottled costs from 12 euros.
Swimming pool with sea water 25 m long. The temperature in it is like in the sea.
The Lotus pool is notable. It has a temperature over 40. A few steps away is a pool with cold water. This complex we called ourselves the Little Humpbacked Horse.
You start cold, go as far as you can, then run to hot, then back to cold. After several shifts, you can already safely swim in any of them. Feelings are very pleasant.
The number is the most common. It has everything, including sun loungers at the entrance, an umbrella, its own table with chairs. The fridge freezes well, which was surprising for me. The TV shows over 100 channels. One of them is Russian - Planet.
The bathroom has a shower, toilet, bidet.
Extremely surprised that in the room plastic disposable cups. And for two they put 3 small bags of shampoo. They are very modest and open with great difficulty. Tiled floors. The towels are very thin. We are used to huge shaggy, but here - a little thicker sheets. In general, the room for 4 stars does not pull.
There was no pontoon by the sea at that time. Promised June 30th. Swimming in the sea was inconvenient. Solid stones. There was a fish restaurant near the sea. But at this time it looked completely abandoned.
On the protruding upper platform there is also a swimming pool with 38 degrees, a walker and a sauna.

All pools are in good condition, everything works. There are a lot of sun loungers, there are always free ones. Sunbeds, deck chairs are by the pools and in the shade of trees, you can choose secluded corners.
The main restaurant is located below the pools, along the path to the sea. Our price included breakfast and dinner. From the windows of the restaurant there is a great view of the sea. The staff is very friendly. Be sure to say hello, constantly say "prego" (please). In the restaurant he meets a gray-haired "chef" in a white jacket, who smiles a lot, jokes, speaks 6 languages, especially loves French. No one understands Russian, except for the waitress Alena. She left Russia a long time ago, speaks with an accent,
but it is quite possible to explain to her.
Alena translates the menu into Russian. The translation looks funny. Liked the food. For dinner, salads are offered on a self-service basis, first and second courses to choose from 3 options. Dessert is usually ice cream and fruits, also optional. For the first, there is always soup, though grated, but not from bags. For the second meat, fish and specific Italian dishes. In our opinion, there was too much food. But very tasty. Especially seafood. With a shudder I recall dinners in five-star hotels in Egypt. Very tasty mineral water. It costs 2 euros per bottle. Drinks at dinner for a fee. Unfinished bottles are put out the next evening.
The hotel is very quiet. It is surrounded by forest on all sides. Birds are singing. There is almost no music. Even when they conduct classes in the pool - aquagym, the music does not yell. The environment is friendly and quiet. Employees at the meeting smile and greet.
Caps are required to swim in the pool. We brought rubber ones with us, which is not very convenient. Italians use cloth, which are easy to put on and take off. Women with bouffant hair wear shower caps similar to those worn on curlers.
It is very convenient to use a bathrobe, because when you exit the hot pools it becomes cool.
In general, do not forget hats, bathrobes and towels. Otherwise, hats can be bought at the local shop, the rest can be rented.

The weather was very changeable. At first we slept under blankets, it was so cool. In a matter of minutes, very black clouds can roll in and light rain can fall. Then the sun may come out again. The further you go, the warmer it gets. You can burn out very quickly, even if there is no direct sun, the breeze does its job.
Residents of the hotel are mostly of mature age.
Additional entertainment is not provided.
There are three bus stops to Ischia Porto. If the bus is empty, press the red button on the handrail by the middle doors. You are supposed to exit through these doors. At rush hour, the bus resembles our minibus, packed full of people and people enter / exit through any door. The back panel of the bus shows the direction of its circular movement around the island: CD (from the hotel to Ischia Porto), CS (back). A ticket for 90 minutes costs 1.3 euros at the box office or 1.5 from the driver. Drivers may or may not have change.
English, like Russian, is poorly understood by Italians. German will help more within high school. But in general, you can understand.
A relaxing holiday in a beautiful place with the opportunity to somehow improve your health. The youth will be bored. We liked it, we will come again.
