(Rome, Vatican, Naples, Pompeii, Pisa, Sienna, Florence, Venice, Rimini, San Marino). In general, we liked the tour, moreover, we have almost no complaints about breakfasts in hotels, but (oh, those “buts”! ).
At the Hotel Colombo in Lido di Jesolo, food was almost non-existent in the morning. The orange juice in the container was so richly diluted with water that it would be more correct to call it colored water. Nobody drank it! from the tourists of our group. The tables blushed with shame for their owners with full glasses. Please note that we have never made any claims about what kind of juice it is - natural or not!

Judging by everything that we saw and heard (not deaf), we were not expected at all in this hotel! Our guide was in shock while she was on the phone in Italian with the administration on the way to the Colombo Hotel. Upon arrival in the town, we had to wait almost two hours (after excursions and a tiring bus ride) until our rooms were put in order. I would like to know which group left the hotel at 19-20 hours. The most interesting thing (small world), in the theatrical locker room of the Alexandrinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, we met people who returned from a similar trip to Italy on May 26.2008, a week later than us. Claims to the hotel "Colombo" were the same. This is the system!
Let's move on to dinner. The main complaint is the lack of choice! For all ages from 25 to 75, and tastes - pasta (I specify - pasta with tomato). I suspect that pasta can also be of a different composition, but it was not possible to verify this during your tour. There are no vegetables on the table, as if we are in Iceland, and not in Italy. References to the lack of restaurants and other hotels in Italy are not accepted. There is an example on your tour: the Vesuvius restaurant in Pompeii. We were fed great! Only there we chose dishes and we paid ourselves. This pleasure, together with wine, costs 13 euros. Separately 1 euro for serenades at the table. I wanted to pay for the singers to be silent. After all, we can, if we want. There are two ways out of this situation: order at least two menus to choose from, or not pay for dinner in advance. Only it was very funny for us to hear on the news that Italian tourists complained about the high cost in Moscow. Let them look at prices in Rome!
Taking into account these comments, we cannot give a positive review about the company, and it is very dangerous to hope that people will come to Italy anyway, in conditions of fierce competition. The same opinion is shared by all the tourists of our group who came from the USA. For your information, one of the phrases expressed on the last day of the accompanying group by Elena Kucherenko to Russian tourists: “What do you want for 600 euros! ” Was, to put it mildly, incorrect in relation to the Russians. And we, who came from Estonia, generally paid for the tour at 1000 (plus about 125 for additional excursions) euros per person for seven days. Such a tour cannot be called cheap. The most important thing is that we have something to compare with, this is far from our first trip, but their enumeration does not correspond to the subject of this letter.
