The hotel is small for a very modest price, which is attractive at the current exchange rate. But in the spring of last year, its proximity to Milan Central Station was important for me - literally 2-3 minutes walk. And the hotel is on a quiet street. There is no breakfast, only a vending machine in the lobby. There is a restaurant in the same building nearby, but it is more convenient to have a bite to eat at the station along the way. There is no air conditioning, it will be hot in the summer, but in the spring it was comfortable. Metal louvers can be lowered on the window, allowing it to be left open at night. Friendly staff, very clean. The rooms are small but quite comfortable. Of course, only two stars, but I only spent the night there, every day I went on excursions: Lake Como with the towns of Como and Bellagio, Turin, Genoa, Bergamo, Bologna. Fortunately, regional trains in Italy are cheap.
I took a separate day to the opera at La Scala - tickets are expensive and an appropriate costume is required, and taking it on a trip for a single visit to the theater is too troublesome, so I bought standing places in the gallery on the day of the performance, and for this you need to pre-register in line during the day, then receive a voucher and only after that a ticket to the evening performance. If on the day, it will be easier. I have never used transport in Milan - to the famous opera house a little more than half an hour on foot, another 5 minutes to the Cathedral, another 10 to the Sforza Castle. I was pleased with the trip and my choice of hotel.
