I warn you right away: for those who came to see only the tourist places of Rome, it is better to settle in another area. Parioli is a calm "bourgeois" area without "exotics". Typical Mediterranean view: old houses with high ceilings, courtyards with palm trees, fairly wide streets, orange trees and magnolias. On the roofs - numerous terraces. Very cozy area. "Beverly" - for those who do not like crowds of tourists. The biggest plus: two minutes walk - Villa Borghese - a giant (very beautiful) park, which houses the famous art gallery and several other museums, a hippodrome (which hosts the most fashionable Roman horse races), a zoo, a greenhouse, a lake with a gazebo and very a lot of things (you can’t see it in a day, except at a gallop). Through the park you can exit: a) onto Via Veneto (the most unpleasant path to tourist places, which is worth going through once) or a parallel street that runs along the park, b) onto Viale del Monti (excellent view of Rome) - and go down to the church of the same name , that is, to find yourself on top of Piazza di Spagna, c) exit from above Piazza del Poppolo (also an interesting view).
The hotel itself fully justifies its 4 stars: the building is modern, the staff is very friendly and attentive, everyone speaks English, the room was large, the bathtub was clean, the breakfasts were "from the belly". No frills, just everything you need. In the room and in the lobby - Internet, in the hotel building - a bank branch. The only drawback is that after long night hikes it is better to take a taxi: the area is deserted, although one of the safest. A trip from the center will cost 7-10 euros according to the counter. But this, in my opinion, is the only drawback.
