From 20.08. 2011-03.09. 2011 My husband and I were vacationing in Rimini at the Bamby 3* hotel. Since we are no longer young people, we wanted to take a break from the hustle and bustle, and this hotel is located in a quiet area. It is also very convenient that the beach is only 5-7 minutes. on foot, near bus stops, the old town, the famous aquarium. Our room was quite large, made in a minimalist style - everything you need is at hand and nothing more. The staff are courteous and know their job well. But our favorite place in the hotel is a beautiful terrace with a piano bar, where we often sat up with my husband. The food is not bad, a buffet for breakfast, and dinner can be ordered at the hotel, or you can go to the city to one of the fine restaurants. The hotel is definitely cheaper. There was certainly something to see in Rimini, but my husband fulfilled my old dream - to visit Venice. Since I have a very hard time traveling in general, I wanted to get to Venice in comfort, and without a huge tourist group. Running around the sights, in order for the guide to tick off the tour, not for us. I don't like trains either, so we opted for a private minibus ride. We opted for a young man named Victor, as we liked his minibus the most of those that offered us a similar trip. The group gathered not large - 9 people, the air conditioner worked all the way, and they showed a documentary film about the cities and sights of Italy. So, those who wanted to be enlightened, and those who did not, admired the beauties from the window of a minibus. The trip cost us 60 euros per person, not very expensive. And here it is the long-awaited Venice. The sea of tourists, beautiful houses growing out of the water, floating gondolas, fun, noise and laughter from all sides... Having taken a gondola ride (a very expensive pleasure 80 ero) along the Grand Canal that runs through the whole city, we got to the central square of Venice, Piazza San -Marco, here are the Basilica di San Marco and the famous Palazzo Ducale. We looked at the following ancient monuments: the Orolodgio Tower, the Golden Bridge of Rialto, the Bridge of Sighs of Ponte dei Sospiri. We visited the churches of San Pietro di Castello, San Zaccaria and Santa Maria dei Miracoli, as well as visited the Santa Croce International Gallery of Modern Art and the Museum of Modern Art in Ca' Pesaro Palace. Quite hungry, we went looking for somewhere to have dinner. Since there was no one to consult at that time, we went to the first restaurant we came across - Antico Martini. The dishes in it are classic, nothing special, but the prices are chic. Dinner for two cost us 270 euros. Therefore, I advise tourists to buy food in supermarkets and take it with them on a trip. Of course, there are still beautiful places in Venice where we did not have time to get, but it was time to return to Rimini to our hotel. And we will continue our acquaintance with Venice next year.
