To begin with, we were dropped off on the road and shown the direction where to go, so we went in the direction of the hand. They went, they went, they came. We went in and, oh my God, where did we go. They put us in a room, which can not be called small. I have a bigger toilet at home. We sat on the bed and decided to go change. We were asked for 30 euros and given a room, a little more. But that's not the point. In the room and in one and the other, everything is old, shabby, ants run around in the bath, where even no food was lying and washed by us. When we lay down on the bed, we realized that the pastel was wet. In which direction you won’t go from the hotel, there are local gypsies everywhere, who drank beer all day long and what can be expected of them when they are in such a state is unknown. Breakfast was no better: the coffee was terrible, the spoons were dirty. There are many bad things to say about this hotel. I won't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Britannia (3 *) was chosen by ourselves according to reviews from the forums and did not fail !! ! Of course, if you are waiting for an absolutely amazing hotel, then this is not a 3 * hotel. Britain - small cozy clean rooms (comfortable double bed, bedside tables, TV table, chair, wardrobe with hangers, shower, toilet, bidet), friendly staff (Stefano at the reception is the nicest person who understands and speaks English, friendly waiters ), convenient location (10 min walk to the sea and the train station and 15 to the center with a brisk step, at night you can hear the night train, but not loud, but it didn’t annoy me at all). … More ▾ Hotel Britannia (3 *) was chosen by ourselves according to reviews from the forums and did not fail !! ! Breakfasts are sufficient (unless, of course, you are not a fan of very hearty breakfasts with meat): juice, coffee / cappuccino / tea, croissants, various marmalades, butter, cheese, biscuits, crackers, sometimes fruits. We left early for independent trips around Italy, and breakfast was ready for us by the time we ordered (at 5.15 was the earliest). As we understood, all 3 * hotels in Italy are small, but this did not bother us at all. In general, I recommend Britania *** - a wonderful hotel!

The hotel was well located for me. It is not located on the coastline, and therefore there is no noise from discos. Air conditioning in all rooms.
The staff is very friendly. Especially the main manager Stefano, who replaced our guide in general (the guide was a goat).
Breakfasts, as everywhere in Italy, are rather sweet: freshly baked croissants and similar buns, donuts, etc. Coffee different from the machine. Juice of 2 types, water. Muesli or corn flakes. Jams, butter, cheese and salami sausage (not always).
Dinners to order (next day) choice of 3 options 1 course, 3 options 2 course and dessert. Dessert to choose from fruit or dessert. As a dessert there were soufflé s, the cakes were very tasty. And if you choose fruits, then you can choose as much as you want: peaches, grapes, apricots, kiwi, nectarines, pears, apples.
Dinner is VERY hearty. The first is usually either pasta, or soup, or risotto. For the second, either meat, or fish, or a vegetarian dish. Very tasty grilled meat.
Stefano speaks English very well, the waiter Ahmet also speaks English. The hostess speaks little English, it is clear that she is trying, but not very successful.

Just got back from it today. I really liked it. Yes, a small one, so what's next - this is not Turkey and Egypt for you. Everything in Italy is small. But it's cozy and homely. Very good staff. Stefano alone is worth something: our guide didn’t really fulfill his duties at all (Luciano), but Stefano helped in everything, and in matters not related to the hotel itself (about shops, trips, schedules, etc. … More ▾ Just got back from it today. Dinner is to die for. You can only eat a vegetable table. Everything is delicious, but by the end of the 2nd week they already tried not to take pasta (there was simply no longer a hunt).

We stayed in Rimini for 3 days. It was hard to live in this hotel: very small rooms and no air conditioning. There are no special complaints about the service - this is not Turkey, where everything is wonderful in this regard. The room was cleaned, the staff was friendly. They fed normally. Next time, the presence of air conditioners will be specified in the contract in a separate line. … More ▾ We stayed in Rimini for 3 days. In Italy, January is the time for shopping and sales. Prices are melting like ice in the sun. The most sophisticated brands lose half their price. We flew to Italy with Siberia Airlines. We flew to Italy with Siberia Airlines.
The airport in Rimini is very miserable, one and a half planes land a day, the prices in the Duty Free Shop (one for the entire airport) are higher than in a regular Italian supermarket. I was struck by the slovenliness with which the Italians treat the accountable state-owned property of Rimini Airport, which would seem to be only Russian: the doors creak, the taps do not work, no personnel were noticed in the nearest monitored area. Sticks of sausage brought in suitcases were very roughly taken away from Russian tourists. But this, as it turned out, flowers ...
We were put in a prehistoric bus, which, due to the extreme humidity of the air and the lack of air conditioning, fogged up all around. In order to remedy the situation, the driver turned on the stove (+11 outside! ).
And so we drove all the way, feeling at the equator. The transportation of tourists to the ateliers was carried out by distancing according to the principle, we will leave you on the main street, and you will find the hotel yourself. Thanks tour operator!
The most indelible impression was made by the hotel! Just tin, gentlemen! To say poor is to say nothing! The hotel did not pull even 1 star, not like the stated 3! Immediately upon entering the nose hit the pungent smell of sewage! What made us happy was the knowledge of English by the hotel manager, but then ...the three of us were greeted in a room the size of a meter by a meter, where, for some reason, there were 5 beds, like in a small Chinese hostel! Room for three! Then, in a very wretched toilet, though with a shower, we found one piece of soap, the size of a matchbox, towels and ...EVERYTHING! And this is the expected European 3 stars? ! I beg of you! Terrible!
Breakfast is also a work of art: a dried crust of bread, a slice of melted cheese, a microscopic jar of jam. And it was declared as "continental tomorrow"! Apparently, food is tight on the continent!
On the door of our room was a picture of "Venus of Melos", covering her nakedness with a mop of red hair. It seems that some obscene word scrawled by previous visitors to the room was covered with this canvas. During our entire stay (7 days) we were cleaned 1 time. Linen and towels were never changed.
The next morning, a Russian lady (a neighbor along the corridor) met us in the corridor, and asked if there were valves and cockroaches in the room, which her herds walked. Thank God it's over!
The program of our tour included 3 excursions: Venice, Florence, Rome. The organization was amazing!
They never called us and didn’t tell us what time and where the tour bus starts from, but they immediately warned us that if we weren’t at the bus stop at the appointed (it’s not clear who) time, then it was automatically considered that we didn’t want to go. So, having opened our eyes at 6 o'clock local time, we trudged to the place, deductively tried out from fellow tourists, got into the same miracle bus and drove to Rome.
And why did we take a navigator with us? ! It was such a shame to see how, instead of toll highways, we were being taken along free bypass roads winding through mountainous terrain. As a result, we drove to Rome for about 5 hours!
Rome is great, only on the bus they announced to us that for the metro we should chip in an additional 2 Euro per person. Well, what if the tour does not provide for this? There is no way out, I had to pay. We walked at a gallop through Rome, ran into the Vatican.
Great, we just decided that we will not go on the rest of the excursions.
We walked around Rimini (a very nice, typical Italian town, quiet and cozy), found a sixt car rental company. They wanted to take a diesel Alfa Rameo, but there was none. Then, having consulted, we took the most expensive brand new BMW3 in the existing park, diesel and drove around Italy (rental for 4 days from Friday to Monday cost 310 Euros with full insurance).
The trip was amazing!
We went to Florence, to Venice, drove around small towns such as Barberino de Mugello. I’ll tell you honestly, the real Italy is precisely in these small quiet towns, where everything is arranged unusually logically, life here flows slowly, everyone knows each other, they say hello, in the morning they discuss the latest news over a cup of coffee and a custard bun. On weekends, the main street where the fair calls in is closed! Great!
We visited private wineries and tasted wonderful Italian wine. Nobody knows English, so they explained themselves mainly by gestures - very cool!

In general, the Britannia hotel did not spoil the impression of Italy. But I don't recommend going there!

We are going for the first time, so questions arise. How much money to take with you (minimum)? WHERE, HOW to get a visa? How much does it cost?
