In this hotel me and my son (17 years old) were supposed to spend one night. We ended the sightseeing tour and began a week of rest, which we had to spend in another hotel. This hotel is a transit hotel. I think the locals know that many people spend the night here only one night, they don’t unpack their bags....
I am a light sleeper, woke up and saw a running figure, rushed after it. . . I must say that the room is very small, the bed occupies the entire usable area. . . there could have been more severe consequences. The police officer at the hospital took a statement, but after 4 hours of waiting it turned out that he could not give an official conclusion, as he put it - he lacked authority. Thanks to the tour operator, we managed to find tickets for a flight to St. Petersburg. In the same day. I must also give credit to the operator, the representative of the travel agency, the insurance company and the airline, who did everything possible for my return. I do not indicate the names, so that this is not regarded as advertising.

I contacted the police at the airport. Of course, they will not look for anyone, but this is necessary for the insurance. By the way, the owners of the hotel did not care what happened to us. Do we have money to return from the hospital, etc. Many will say that it’s naive to expect this from them, but there should be elementary sympathy... Our bags were put out in the hotel lobby, of course, we had to vacate the rooms... Knowing that we hung around in the hospital all night, hungry, we could have at least a trifle leave some from breakfast. . .
To sum up: be vigilant, abroad our problems are only our problems; in Italy, according to the Russians living there, the situation is now very criminogenic; steal Arabs, gypsies, etc. ; it is better not to take valuable things at all, or at least not to shine them. The fact that I relaxed, deprived me of a week of rest and for a whole month my leg will be in a cast. There is no pessimism! Italy is a beautiful country with wonderful people! And of course we will be back here! But not in this hotel!
