Giannini Hotel Rimini
I stayed at this hotel in June 2007.
Before that, she went to Turkey, Spain, Egypt, and summer vacations always took place in 3 *. But this hotel did not pull on the standard European 3 *, as well as Rimini hotels in general.
The room is very small. Not all rooms have balconies! My room was on the top floor, i. e. on the roof. Therefore, there was a very large balcony - see photo. The safe is a small locker. There was air conditioning, but I did not use it, there was enough fan (fan - not in all rooms). TV - black and white, also very small.
Breakfast consisted of a croissant, buns (completely ordinary), butter, jam, some kind of muesli, cold tea or coffee. Who is not used to breakfast, it may not be so unpleasant.
Dinner - menu. You can't be late. More or less choice. But, for example, delicacy products were given out as part of the buffet strictly one piece per hand.
Such a delicacy was, for example, fried eggplant, red salted fish, half a boiled egg! : ) The table is fixed for the entire period.
Almost every time the waiters forgot to bring something: either a cup, or bread, or fruit, etc. In the second week, they put up with this, but at first this fact resented. At the reception, only two people understood English very tolerably. Thank God, one Lithuanian worked at the hotel, in some situations she helped out a lot with the translation.
But it should be noted that we were treated well at the hotel (except for the basically poor service at breakfast and dinner). When the company ADRIATUR by ERROR entered the number of days of stay not 14, but 7 and 12! (in two different documents in different ways! ), the hotel staff tried their best to help rectify the situation. The rooms are tidy. Bed linen is changed only once a week! Towels - every day.
Location: near the sea and near the walking path along the beach is a plus. Far from the administrative center, at 31 stops - this is a minus (because it is in the area of .10-14 stops that some excursions are bought, there is the only supermarket in the city, there is Federico Fellini Park, etc. ). Most of the tourists are Italians and Russians. British, Germans - units, but met.
The sea is shallow near the shore, you have to go far to swim.
I really enjoyed walking around the historic center of Rimini (2nd bus stop) and the tourist center of Ricciona (49 stop 11 bus). Didn't like Le Befane shopping center at all. Like our shopping center, only 2 floors, mostly inexpensive brands (mango, zara, promod, etc. ), but there was a feeling that the sale was over and there were no normal goods left at all. For comparison, in Spain, in Mango, I felt completely delighted with the assortment!
It is better to buy clothes, shoes and bags in the shops in the Historic Center and in Riccione, because the prices in the shops in Le Befane and in these places do not differ. You can get to Le Befane only by taxi or other transport (buses do not run). You can probably walk, because close, but you have to go straight along the highway.
And of course, you need to go on excursions. Liked San Marino. We also looked at Venice and Florence. Mirabilandia with good attractions (although in terms of thematic design, Port Aventura is of course much more interesting). Italy in miniature. Aquafan.
Be careful and always on the lookout with ADRIATUR. Absolutely disregard for every step (never happened before with other companies! ). The bus forgot to take people on excursions - it just drove past, forgot to pick up people from the excursion. Mistakes in the number of days of stay in the voucher - I was almost relocated (a call to a Moscow company helped).
But in general, Rimini is not a vacation for pretentious people. A big plus of Italy is a really rich excursion program. And in terms of a beach holiday, of course, it is better to prefer something else. For example, I really want to return to Spain. In Italy - in principle, no.
