Hotel ratings by criteria:
We rested with my wife from September 13 to September 27.2008, on the whole I liked it, but it was no longer a vacation at sea: the temperature was about 16 and it rained almost every day.
I would like to start with the hotel: Europa, according to general impressions, is a normal three-star hotel without claims and bonuses: five floors, an elevator, the restaurant has a terrace-balcony, not far from the beach - 50 meters. It is located on the main transport street, but we are from the third floor ( on the second - a restaurant) especially from the noise did not get tired. But to the very center (to the station) 20 minutes on foot, or by bus 3 minutes - stop nearby. The staff is friendly, willingly helped on all issues, they only know English (except Italian), you can also ask them for a map of the city. The beach was not rated, as it was quite cold, we swam five times, on the 20th, all shower umbrellas were rolled up and closed for the winter, and the wind poured dunes on the paths.
The main disadvantage of the hotel, as well as all the treshka in Rimini, is a monstrously small room. In order to put something large in the closet, they moved the beds to another part of the room; in order to go into the bathroom, they moved them back, it was not possible for two people to move past the beds, but a large corner balcony is half of the entire room (other balconies are smaller). Shower and toilet are clean and tidy. On the toilet there is a falling bedette, why she knows, but in this position it is impossible for normal people to use it or the toilet - I bought a screwdriver in the nearest supermarket and removed it, no problem. TV with remote control, there is ORT. The air conditioner was not included. We asked the administrators if there were bigger rooms - they offered a suite with an extra charge of 10 euros per day, but after examining it, they realized that there was no point, there was a plasma TV and an extra square meter of space, that's all the difference.

Breakfast: cheese, ham-sausage, eggs, various cereals, canned fruit, milk, yogurt, biscuits, jams, honey, rolls, modestly but of normal quality. By the way, it was different rolls, black bread and crackers like finncrisp that were seen only in pharmacies : )
Dinner: salad bar, where there are many hot appetizers, then soup or pasta from the menu, then a main course (usually fish or meat), drinks for a fee (sparkling water 1 liter = 1.8 euros). We have been to many places, of course, not gastroutopia, but satisfying and tasty.
If you come to Rimini for two weeks - buy a ticket for 12 euros for 7 days (next to the station there is a yellow booth of bus tickets) - single tickets will be more expensive. There is also a central travel agency near the station - take a map of the city with bus (trolleybus) routes and prices for their excursions (Bonelli) there - almost two times cheaper than your guide will offer you.
The city has a healthy shopping center LE BEFANE, at the corner of the Nuova Circonvallazione semi-ring road and via Macanno, bus number 8 goes there from the station. If you leave the hotel, then after 300 meters to the right there will be a large two-story food and clothing department store, the cheapest (and not bad) wine in boxes, table red and white - 69 cents per liter!
There is also only one place in the city where you can rent a car without a credit card - the corner of the Via Ortigara promenade and G. Bande Nere street right under the Briolini park. They took a new Fiat Panda for three days - 190 euros. You can find cheaper, if you have a credit card, in numerous offices at the airport, which is located almost in the city itself, from the station, bus number 9.
In Kennedy Square (next to the hotel) there is a rental of bicycles, battery-powered velomobiles and various scooters, incl. and powerful.

In two weeks we visited Venice (on a Bonelli bus 36 euros per person round trip), Florence, Pisa and Rome (by car rental 190 euros for 3 days), Ravenna (by scooter - 50 euros per day, gasoline included), Bologna (by train 14 euros per person round trip, speed 160 km/h), San Marino (by regular bus in front of the station, ticket in the yellow booth 7.5 euros per person round trip). I won’t describe it, everything is amazing, I wanted more than anything, but my legs couldn’t go. If you take a car, do not save on toll roads, you will lose more time trailing behind trucks, there are a lot of them.
If you have time - visit the city cemetery, apart from jokes, this is a very beautiful place, Catholic cemeteries are different from ours, they are objectively more well-groomed and more beautiful, not gloomy, positive. There is also the grave of F. Fellini.
The maximum weight of luggage at the airport is 20 kilograms per person (for two people it is summed up, but not more than 40 kilos), for an overweight of 7 euros for each extra kilogram - checked for yourself.
We prefer not to intersect with the tour operator - only transfer to the hotel and airport, no excursions and "cocktails"!
