In terms of price / quality ratio, Albatros suited me with everything. It is clear that this is not a fashionable five-star hotel with a tail, which is in Taormina, and not one. But it is worth staying there not at all in Taormina. This is a convenient city hotel, located five minutes walk from the funicular to the coast and ten minutes from the main gate to the main street of the city. During the day, I manage to run through the next local attraction, go down for a swim, return to the hotel, and in the evening again get out into the city or on the coast to one of the many restaurants. There is practically no time spent on the road. The territory is clean, well-groomed, green, tidy - in a word. good, but quite small, compact. On the other hand, this is offset by the opportunity to get out into the city. There is Wi-Fi, they say that there is a pool, but a good question is whether it is needed: next to it is the purest Ionian Sea.
The rooms are clean, at the time of 2011 - new; with air conditioning, TV, cable (there were Russian channels for sure), a small terrace into a small garden, on the terrace - a table and two chairs, if you want to warm yourself outside in a siesta - VERY convenient, as the chairs are in the shade.
The food is good.
