In August, we had a pearl wedding, and my husband and I decided to go on a romantic trip. We didn’t have to think where to go for a long time - we rested at the La Tonnarella hotel 3 years ago and wanted to go again. Only this time we took into account the mistakes of the first trip: then we rented a modest room without a sea view and lost half the pleasure, deprived of the privilege of admiring the scenery right from the window. They decided to go, like last time, through the tour operator "Holiday M".
Now we decided to boo - a worthy occasion! In addition, the children have grown up - it's time to live for yourself.
The double junior suite that we wanted to take this time was released only at the beginning of September, so we had to wait a bit (I recommend booking in advance). This is a large room almost under the roof, with air conditioning and a good bathroom. From here you can see the Gulf of Naples with Vesuvius, and the city. Nice to dine on the outdoor terrace. By the way, Wi-Fi in this room worked well - last time (in the "bad" room with no view)) the signal jumped a little.

For 3 years, nothing has changed in the hotel itself: the same friendly staff, and the owner's wife even recognized us (by the way, she speaks Russian, and last time she helped us a lot). The hotel is on a cliff. At its foot is a private sandy beach. It can be reached by an elevator. To the bodice is a short staircase, just a few steps through the garden.
There are many interesting places in the vicinity of the hotel. It is worth visiting the museum of local applied art Bottega della Tasia Lignea in order to get deeper into the spirit of Sorrento and better understand the culture (it is close to me by profession, therefore I recommend it, but I do not impose)) The monastery of San Francisco is very beautiful, from its garden - a magnificent view of the bay . Another port network is not far from the hotel. Every morning sea rockets leave from there. Last time we were in Capri, now we sailed to the island of Procida.
In the evenings we went for a walk in the city. There are a lot of different shops, small cafes and restaurants (I liked Delfino - good Italian cuisine and relatively inexpensive). That's just from a 15-minute climb up the hill, from the city to the hotel, my husband had shortness of breath - he smokes a lot. But I lost a couple of kilos. In vain I was afraid to get better, because the food in the hotel restaurant is good. Very tasty cheese and wonderful wines (by the way, the wine list is quite impressive).
In general, this is a small family hotel, very quiet and calm, not for "hang out". So if you want to improve and "renew" your personal life - go here!
