We have been resting in this hotel for 13 years, at first with my wife, then with our daughter from the very first year of her life, which speaks for itself: we made our choice long ago and finally.
At one time, they chose a hotel because of the restaurant - the description even spoke of a Michelin star. Whether there were stars since then, we did not follow, because there is no need: we really like the food at the hotel. There have been several chefs over the years, and the quality of food and the level of service in the hotel restaurant remain consistently high. The emphasis in the menu is, of course, on fish and seafood, but there are always meat dishes and soup for those who cannot do without it. I would also like to note the rich map of wonderful wines from the Lazio region (and, of course, other regions of Italy), which are sold very little in Russia, and there are few places where you can find them.
Lunch is organized as a "buffet" - cold and hot appetizers, several types of pasta and risotto.
This abundance of delicious Italian food costs only 13 euros. Breakfast - continental, no hot, but no one leaves hungry. Breakfast is served in the restaurant inside the hotel, lunch is served in the bar next to the beach and dinner is served in the garden (but, of course, in bad weather you can dine in the restaurant adjacent to the garden). On Saturdays during the "hot" season (in other months - a little less often) dinner is accompanied by "live" music.
The hotel has its own free parking, has its own tennis court. They never asked if it was possible to rent rackets and balls, there was no need, they brought their own. But rackets and ping-pong balls can be rented at a bar near the beach.
The bar itself is located next to the former beach of the hotel - slightly higher than the level of the main beach. But before the 2017 season, a reconstruction was carried out, and on the former beach there are now tables and sun loungers for bar visitors.
But the beach itself, thanks to the reconstruction, moved lower, to the very edge of the water and occupies a fenced area where hotel customers relax, and visitors to the public beach, therefore, do not disturb customers. If you take half board, then one umbrella and two sun loungers are included in the price of the hotel room; you can also rent sunbeds at a price of 5 euros per day per piece. Those who chose only breakfast will have to pay for an umbrella and sun loungers, but it costs some very reasonable amount. The beach is sandy, the sea water is very clean. On the beach of the hotel you can rent a kayak, a water bike, it seems, something else like that, we were not specifically interested. There are also showers on the beach. As far as I know, by the 2018 season, a kind of branch of the bar will appear on the beach, where soft drinks, ice cream, coffee, perhaps some sandwiches and minimal snacks will be sold.
Lunch will continue to be served at the main bar, one level up.
Double rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the hotel. They are small, but there you can accommodate three people with a small child - the size of the bed is enough. Hosts can, of course, provide an extra cot for a child or a larger cot (not sure, but it seems at no extra cost), but we would not say that this is so necessary. We ourselves preferred not to use this option: there will be enough space on a bed with a child under 6-8 years old, and an extra bed still “eats up” space in a small room. On the 1st floor there are large rooms - for a large family or company. We were not inside, but it seems they are two-room. Also on the territory there is a separate house, which has two more large rooms, which are also perfect for large companies or families with older children.
Wi-fi is free in the hotel, there is a library with an interesting selection of books in different languages. There is a large Russian shelf where you can find not only detective stories or children's books, but also smarter literature like the ZhZL series. Of course, these are books left by Russian-speaking guests. And someone might be interested in a large selection of AD magazine issues over several decades - probably a hobby of one of the owners.
If necessary, you will be taken to the nearest town of Terracina (you can’t walk there, but not because it’s far, but because there are dangerous stretches that are not intended for walking) or to the Monte San Biagio railway station, from where you can drive in an hour to Rome or Naples. But just do not go to Terracina for lunch or dinner - it is unlikely that the food in the city will surprise you more than at the hotel, and then why change a quiet dinner in the garden by the sea for the noise and din of the evening Italian city.
Here, of course, it is worth making a reservation: this is a hotel for a relaxing holiday. Not to say that it is indispensable for the elderly - young couples will find their romance here. But for the older generation, for families with children, there is peace and comfort that they were looking for. There are many children in the hotel, and your children will not be bored if, of course, they want to get along with their Italian peers. But those who are confused by the possible noise from children should not worry: the hotel has enough places where you can relax in silence.
But the most valuable thing in this hotel is the attention, cordiality and hospitality of the owners. The hotel is managed by an intelligent and educated family, whose members work tirelessly from morning to night for the benefit of the guests. There you will definitely not be ignored, and all your problems will be solved. The staff speaks English and Russian, so you can forget about the language barrier.
Actually, our family, to a large extent, has been going to this hotel for many years now for the warmth of the heart, which the owners generously share with the guests.

But the main idea is this: we really hope to be able to come here until old age. Having seen many countries and cities, whether it is a resort vacation or sightseeing trips, we concluded: for the sake of rest at sea, we will go only to Villa dei Principi.
