From September 20 to 30.2018, my wife and I rested at the Grand Swiss-Belresort Tala Bay (Jordan, Aqaba). The five-star hotel with the All Inclusive food system has a beautiful architecture, beautiful plant and flower decoration, a nice private beach with fine white sand at a distance of 150 m from the hotel. The sea is striking in its transparency and purity, it is always almost calm and conducive to a long voyage. The food is varied and interesting. All of the above is fully consistent with five stars. It would seem to relax and enjoy. However, it wasn't there. The engineering services of the hotel do not allow this to be done.
We arrived at the hotel and immediately asked for a room with two separate beds. After long negotiations, we were promised to provide such a room in three days, but so far they have brought an extra bed into the room, not of the best quality. Three days later we were moved to a room with two separate beds and an additional third. Again, it took long requests to remove the third bed from the room, as it interfered. Three days later the bed was removed.
In both rooms in which we lived, the TV did not really work; It will work for 5 minutes, then the program is interrupted, you need to turn on the device again. In the second room there was only one lamp, our urgent requests to put the second one did not lead to anything, the lamp was never put up. Not accustomed to this hotel to satisfy the requests of the guests.

As our Russian colleagues on vacation (Russians, as always, the majority among vacationers) said, someone did not close the window in the room, someone had a toilet leak, the hair dryer did not work. In our last room, the beds creaked and wobbled, the handle on the door to the bathroom came off.
A very unpleasant circumstance was the need to jump up early in the morning and run to the beach to take sunbeds. This inconvenience is due to the small number of straw umbrellas under which sunbeds are placed. The entrance to the sea is very unpleasant, because. a meter from the shore there are many sharp stones.
But the most terrible event for us happened on September 25, when the elevator stopped working, with the help of which we climbed to our third floor. In a panic, we rushed to the reception, where the employees started calling somewhere, promised to fix the elevator in two days, but it did not start working on the day of our departure 09/30/18. Of course, it doesn’t cost anything for some young and healthy person to run up to the third floor and not even get out of breath, but when you are well over 60 and have problems with your knees and ankles, stopping the elevator immediately turns your vacation into a torment.
It is obvious that the hotel urgently needs to re-equip its fixed assets (considerable costs are ahead for the owners). Maintenance workers, currently characterized by laziness and inattention to the requests of vacationers, need to change the way they work. Otherwise, they should be fired.
Currently, the hotel is clearly designed for young and unpretentious people. Older people should think hard before going here to rest.
