Our conclusion: really the best hotel in Hikkaduwa in terms of location, food, beach and wildlife on the territory and a gorgeous view from the room. We were extremely pleased! Detailed below.

Room: We had 411 on the 4th floor with amazing ocean views. Not new, but in very good condition, clean, everything works properly, air conditioning and dehumidifier work well. Large double bed + sofa in the room. Cleaning every day and in the evening they still knock and ask if everything is fine. The room has free coffee/cream/tea/sugar every day, as well as shower sets shampoo, lotion, shower gel replenish during cleaning.
The nuance of the room: on the first day we were settled in a room on the ground floor, we asked to be relocated and moved the next day.
Territory: a beautiful green area, everywhere flowering aralia trees with white flowers that smell delicious, many girls often add them to their hair, beauty. There are a lot of chipmunks that can be reproached out of hand (they love peanuts, pumpkin seeds), and some even managed to be stroked. There are big turtles on the reef nearby, and on the rafting beach we managed to see in the evening how baby turtles hatched from the masonry (30 pieces) and they were released into the ocean at sunset! There are a lot of masonry, they are marked with signs, maybe you are also lucky to see this miracle. Even on the territory of the hotel live two large monitor lizards, about a meter in length, very calm, periodically go out for a walk around the territory.
Beach and ocean: Ocean Water +30.5, swam for at least half an hour. When there are no waves, the water in the bay is of a stunning emerald color, the sand on the beach is the cleanest! When the waves started in the 20th of April (the end of the season, it was stormy), they hung out a red flag and it was normal to enter the bay, but not very comfortable because of the stones that were washed away by the water.
Weather: in mid-April, out of 2 weeks, every second day it rained for about an hour during the day, twice at night. It did not cause any discomfort, everyone swam in the pool under a tropical downpour, it's cool. The air temperature was +29 +30.
Breakfasts and dinners: breakfasts are very varied, side dishes, fish meat, chicken, a lot of fruits, fresh juices, sweet buns. At dinner, in addition to the general abundance, there are many different seafood, but most of all on Saturday and Sunday - seafood days - there were large shrimp, crabs, lobsters, lobsters, shark fillets, tuna and other fish!
Interesting: 3 times there were photo shoots of weddings on the territory of the hotel, it was interesting to look at the brides in red and black dresses, unusual and very beautiful!
