We were at the hotel around 11-00, we asked to check in earlier, they said an hour later and we went to the territory (you can change clothes and take a shower on the territory there is a locker room with a shower), met a very nice Russian-speaking girl Dasha, a representative of the hotel, she told us everything and explained - thank you! An hour later we were settled in a room on the 1st floor, an excellent room - with an ocean view and a terrace (this is for all rooms, well, we were told so). The staff is very friendly and tries to help with everything.
The rooms are not new) require repair, but most importantly - everything worked (air conditioning, shower, etc. , a large comfortable bed with a snow-white bed, clean towels, tea, coffee, water - every day. Cleaning is normal) 2 times a day. The disadvantages of the room, what and where is cracked and frayed) were not looked closely, tk. admiring the view and the sound of the ocean.
The territory is not large, but very cozy and green, palm squirrels, lizards and once saw a large monitor lizard, and although the hotel is large and there are a lot of people, this is not felt, there are always places and sun loungers (of course, the best ones are taken early in the morning)) Towels without cards) Old, but it will do for the beach).
The pool is large, shallow, always warm) Next to the children.
The ocean is gorgeous and the location of the hotel too - on the right is a sandy beach, with a good entrance where you can swim, and this is very important, because in other places where we walked constantly there was a wave and it was impossible to swim. On the left, you can walk and see the coral reef with fish, and sharks, and all kinds of living creatures, and then there are beaches where you can jump on the waves and quiet lagoons where you can lie, a bunch of cafes where you can have a bite to eat. There is a Sri Lankan on the beach - Siri, we agreed with him for a taxi and for $ 50 we went to Unavantuna and Mirissa, to see the beaches, i. e. the taxi driver was with us all day and whatever you want to see, he will deliver and show. So, if you want to travel around the island, I recommend Siri. Right in front of the hotel - a beach with huge turtles - the hotel's attraction) they are there every day and are very beautiful. The bar on the beach - delicious cocktails and ice cream, friendly staff.
Meals, we took breakfast and bought a few dinners at the hotel. The main restaurant, right in front of the ocean - a gorgeous view) who was stuffy - ate inside (there is air conditioning) there were always places. The staff is very slow, but this is their national trait) so do not be nervous)) Breakfasts and dinners are normal) delicious fruits, fresh juices, many desserts, seafood (shrimps) have always been, No special frills, but everything is there and delicious))) .

Yes, the hotel itself and the rooms need to be updated, but then the price tag will be different, like for example at Marriott.
