I kindly envy everyone who is going to visit the place where I happened to spend part of my vacation....Sri Lanka is a paradise! This is a magical island, it is absolutely fabulous and magical!...
We flew to Colombo, found our luggage, bought a mobile operator card, calls to Ukraine at 20 cents per minute.
From there by minivan to Hikkaduwa with a pleasant meeting Damit. The travel time passed unnoticed, although we drove for a long time, but the incredibly unique nature, palm trees, rubber groves, rice fields, completely absorbed our consciousness.
At the hotel we were greeted with a welcome cocktail and a wet towel, which was very appropriate))
The windows of the room and the balcony overlooked the pool and the ocean. This is an incredible sight, the incredible sound of the noisy, waving ocean every day! Such relaxation is impossible to convey!

On the same day, we decided to explore the surroundings and get to the beach, because the coast in front of the hotel is rich in sea urchins that live in a ruined coral reef.
we happily visited the Blue Lagoon, Kandy and Galle Fort.
In Kandy, of course, it’s very difficult to get there, the road is long, the speed is no more than 30 km / h....We got tired, to be honest.
And the fact that closer was super!!!
I rated the hotel 10 points because the staff is awesome, we became very good friends, the restaurant and the whore are also at the highest level (be careful with those dishes where it says ". . . curry" they, like the dishes with chili pepper, are very vigorous! It saves from a fire in the mouth pineapple and papaya, which are in abundance there; )
We were super fed!
Cleaning in the rooms and a bottle of water - daily!
Everyone is friendly, with smiles, I really love positive people, because we were on the same wavelength))
Be sure to try the durian, this is a fruit that you can buy in the market, you can get there by tuk-tuk, don't forget to bargain ; ) and take more of our chocolate and....cigarettes with you)) It is held in high esteem there!! ! We bargained for $20 for a chocolate bar)
By the way, about the exchange of money. The most favorable exchange rate in the airport, this is indisputable, but! no problem, you can change 100 bucks for rupees and pay with dollars! the exchange rate when buying for dollars is the highest, that is, you don’t have to carry thousands and kilograms of rupees, it’s enough to have it for small expenses.
A few more words about the beach. To the left of Citrus is a beach for surfers. The waves are huge, and if you don’t surf, then there’s nothing to do there! Much steeper on the right in "Crab". In the evening, the locals feed the turtles and you have the opportunity to feed these beautiful animals from your hands. The turtles are giant, be prepared to be surprised : )
Do not buy stones at factories, go right along Galle Road, 20 meters, an excellent jewelry store with charming prices! I bought a set of earrings and a ring with blue topaz for 180 dollars, and at the factory one earring cost a hundred ; )

There are a lot of Ayurvedic salons at every turn. You will see an inexpensive salonchik on the way to the beach at the hotel "crab", across the street from the "Citrus", 30 meters walk.
On the same side, there is a shop with paintings, painted by local artists. I won’t tell much, see for yourself and be stunned)
And in the room we had a gecko who screamed loudly at night....
I didn’t want to leave at all... I miss this beautiful land so much, for poor people, but so sincere and open! It seems that they shine from the inside!
