We stayed in November 2012. During this period, the hotel had a big check-in, but still the staff was very attentive to everyone. I agree with all the positive reviews about the hotel.
Maybe it's good that there is no beach right next to the hotel, because you can always choose: go to the right - you will find a coral reef, and to the left - a cool extreme for surfers.
I really liked the reef: we fed the fish by hand, we saw a lot of amazing fish.
We went several times to Gala, wandered around the old fort, went to the fish market, got to the Japanese stupa in Unawatuna, and next to it we found an amazing "Junglebeach".
I will gladly visit this hotel again.
