I arrived on December 22, barely gathered my thoughts... We took a "burning" ticket, but the price was not small compared to other hotels. This one was recommended to us, a solid 3 *, and reviews of the norms.
We flew to Colombo and it started... All the buses have parted - we are standing, waiting for someone with a missing suitcase. They didn't wait, they left after an hour. 172 km traveled 5 (!!!! ) hours! With two unnecessary stops, then we already guessed that the guide was deliberately playing for time. We were at the hotel at 2:30 pm instead of 12:30 pm. The girls at the reception with frightened eyes crowded, whispered, ran. And we are 20 people, there are children.
To all our questions and indignations, one answer is "one minute", then - frank irritation. In general, there was not a single ready-made room, although the check-in was at 14-00! Our guide named Sarat, a local, could not do anything and just ran away! In general, we did not wait, we changed into impudent clothes and went for a swim. We got our room at 5:30 pm. And so the second episode began. . .
I walked in and almost fell over. The furniture is old, battered, shabby, there are no bedside tables, no drawers for small things, in the bathroom there is a shower behind a dirty oilcloth, there is no table under the sink, no toothpaste, no toothpaste. There is nowhere to put the brush. For towels 2 hooks. Kind of essno on the road, where around the clock buzz and smoke! Street dust and noise freely enter the room through the cracks, because window frames do not match the window opening by two fingers wide! The closet has 3 shelves, 2 wire hangers, a round table, 2 wicker chairs. ALL !! ! And this is a number for three! To top it off, when the friend sat on the bed, she collapsed! It turns out that unplaned, dirty boards were simply laid on the bed frame... To the credit of the guide, he still forced us to change the room. We drove to the first floor in the side building. Earth and sky. But the mood and idea of the hotel was ruined forever. Further, throughout the entire shift, we simply did not notice these girls at the reception and resolved all domestic issues through the senior administrator. Normal man.

About the hotel. Territory untidy, all around clayey brown earth, dirty paths, the restaurant fed well, but monotonous. Of the fruits, only watermelon, papaya, 2 times they gave pineapple. There was no seafood at all, only fish in batter or fried, dry. There were no napkins, there were some rags on the tables, crumpled, it seems second-hand, the tablecloths were also stale. Young boys cleaned the rooms, tea, sugar, coffee, cream, soap were given without problems, but there were no bath towels! Knocked out with difficulty through the admin. Shampoo, balm are not provided, it's good that they took it with them. Wi-fi only at the reception is disgusting, brake, constantly breaks down.

The tour was rich: the Sri Lankan village, the elephant nursery, the botanical garden, we stopped at tea plantations (1200 m above the ocean), at the tea factory, at the workshop for making paper from elephant like... , visited the Ayurvedic garden with a pharmacy, the temple of the tooth of the Buddha and etc. . . total 35 S+ tickets + lunch. It was possible, of course, to see the waterfall and climb the mountain, but I didn’t want to lose another 2-3 days out of 11. So from 3:30 p. m. in the morning until 23-00 h. went.
