In Sri Lanka for the first time, we bought a tour to Labyrinth Travel, we did not choose a hotel.
Liked: good location; very friendly staff at the reception, quickly resolved all contentious issues; WiFi in the lobby; large rooms; good air conditioner.
Badly:
- a terribly neglected building: there is mold in the corners, the doors are broken and with unclosable locks, the plumbing is cracked and barely stays in place, a few streams of water barely flow from the shower
- in the room a huge number of ants, from small to huge climb everywhere
- ventilation in the bathroom is a large barred window with a curtain overlooking the corridor, with all the sounds and aromas flowing (into the corridor)!
- upon entering the hotel, there is a heavy smell of dampness, sewerage and disinfection: there is no central ventilation system in the hotel
- the number of dishes in the restaurant is sufficient, but most of them are very spicy. It is better not to take lunch at the hotel - there are many good inexpensive restaurants around.
- Only one large bath towel per room. There are no small ones for the face and hands, it is inconvenient.
