Good day! Rested with my husband in May 7 days. Unforgettable experience, didn't want to leave. We plan to go again in the winter.
Now step by step about everything.

Flight from Kyiv:
We flew with FlyDubai airlines from the Join Up operator with a transfer. First there was a flight Kyiv - Dubai (5 hours). In Dubai got to the transit airport. Duty free in Dubai is expensive compared to Kyiv and Colombo.
FlyDubai does not provide free food, but offers to buy it and other goods directly on board. We took our own food and drinks, which we miraculously missed on board. The food offered on the plane is not too cheap and not too healthy (chips, nuts, bagged soups, sandwiches, dubious rolls). Prices in the catalog are in dirhams. Course: 1 dollar = 3 dirhams. You can pay in dollars and dirhams, change is also given in both currencies. They do not make special remarks when they ate their food. There is McDonald's at Dubai Airport, prices are higher than in Kyiv.

On the plane they took coffee for 5 dirhams, quite good and a large glass volume. Water, juices and tea are also 5 dirhams.
The time difference with Kyiv is 1 hour ahead.

We spent half an hour at the Dubai airport and transferred to another Dubai-Colombo plane (4 hours of flight). We got to Colombo. The time difference with Dubai is 1.5 hours ahead, with Kyiv - 2.5 hours ahead.

At the Colombo airport, we were met by Join Up employees, looked at the voucher and documents, and directed us to the bus next to our hotel. Duty free can also be accessed upon arrival. Money changed right at the airport, the exchange rate is better than at the hotel. At the airport 1 dollar = 125 rupees. At the hotel 1 dollar = 118 rupees.
Also, for 1.000 rupees, they bought a SIM card from the Dialog operator (using a foreign passport), there were 850 rupees on the account. The cost of 1 SMS to Ukraine is 6 rupees - very cheap. The number is kept for a year. We are very pleased that we did not use roaming, it turned out cheaper with a local operator.

Transfer from the airport to the hotel:
At the exit from the airport, the first thing they noticed was the wild humidity and heat, like in a sauna. Went wet.
The distance to the hotel is only 70 km, but we drove very long 3-4 hours because of the low speed. We drove not along the highway, but through cities and villages, watching the life of the locals from the windows of the bus.
By the way, on the way to the bus, a man jumped up to us, grabbed our luggage and dragged it in our transport, for which he demanded a tip. They gave me 100 rupees.
Already on the bus, they turned on Buddhist music, which immersed me even more in the atmosphere of the country. People live in poverty. I noticed that Sri Lankans wear mostly long skirts or dresses, trousers are extremely rare. I did not see a single girl / woman in shorts or a mini skirt. I was surprised that many men wear long skirts, or rather a long linen wrapped around the waist. The inhabitants have a very dark skin color. Buddha statues are everywhere, almost all buildings are decorated with flags and lanterns.

Most of the buildings and shops are in a deplorable state, although there are also modern shops. Foreign cars are a rarity. I was struck by the abundance of dogs in the city and not a single cat.
Everywhere lush greenery and May red flowers. And, of course, a huge mesmerizing ocean.
During the transfer, we were accompanied by a young local guide named Kanishka. He spoke Russian rather poorly and gave very little information. However, he was extremely friendly.

Settlement:

Finally, we reached the hotel, tired and exhausted. Settled pretty quickly, and even managed to have breakfast. The first impression of the dining room is not very pleasant, I think more because of fatigue.
At the reception were friendly employees in saris. Everyone greeted us and smiled.

Number:

All rooms in Induruw overlook the ocean, which is undoubtedly a huge plus.
The rooms are chic: a very large area, high ceilings, solid wooden furniture - a huge bed, 2 spacious armchairs with a coffee table, 2 bedside tables, 1 large very comfortable wardrobe near the entrance, 2 large tables-stands for TV (with a flat screen) and under a mini -refrigerator, and all this with a large number of drawers. In general, there are plenty of places. And also an incredibly large loggia, to which sliding doors lead, and an excellent bathroom with a shower.
The floor is tile everywhere. There is an air conditioner, a fan, and, which is very convenient, you can control all this stuff right from the bed, there are a bunch of buttons on the headboard - for the fan, for the light on the balcony, for the light in the corridor, and a separate remote control for the air conditioner.
Above the bed are two paintings. There are double blackout curtains in front of the balcony.
On the balcony there is a wooden table and 2 high chairs - very comfortable.

The bathroom has everything: toilet paper (with a margin), hygiene bags, 2 mini shampoos, 2 mini soaps, a hair cap. 4 towels - 2 large and 2 small. It should be noted that only toilet paper is replenished. Shampoo, soap, etc. are not added. Rooms are cleaned daily by 2 men, towels and bed linen are changed, which are filled in a special way, floors are washed, garbage is taken out, mosquito spray is sprayed. Tips may or may not be left. They pick up equally well. There are a lot of pigeons on the balcony, and their "consequences", which are also cleaned regularly.

I will write about the hotel territory, excursions, meals and other things later.
I will gladly answer questions. )
