The flight was Air Arabia Kyiv-Sharjah-Colombo, 1st flight - 5.30m, connection 1h, 2nd flight - 4.10m.
We couldn't find a representative of the joint up at the airport, he didn't really look for us either : ). As a result, they found passengers from our plane, and through them they found a representative. After 1 hour 30 min. we were at the hotel at 5.30 am. The hotel is dilapidated in places, but in principle we liked it, because we expected the worst). In order to check in immediately and not wait for the official check-in at 13.00, they called the amount of $ 50. Breakfast on the day of arrival was not included, but we moved the breakfast of the last day to the day of arrival. First of all, we went to look at the ocean and the hotel grounds: very green, tall palm trees, the sound of the ocean and a bunch of chipmunks). Went for breakfast around 8am. The choice was good, sausages, fruits, eggs, local pancakes, rice, chicken and fish curries, but almost no vegetables, greens and cheese. Then every morning the choice was the same, but I don’t remember that the breakfasts were varied somewhere, so it suited us. Nothing can be taken out, they could be fined. We got our room at about 11 am. The first room was on the 2nd floor in a quiet part of the hotel, closer to the spa, overlooking the ocean, but we refused because of the bed, there were two instead of one big one. They offered to pay extra for the suite, which is + 30 bucks a day, but we also refused, as a result, after 15 minutes we were found another room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool and ocean. The only thing that confused us was that the previous room was not a deluxe, but a standard room, although we paid for the deluxe, we would not have understood if we had not seen the photo at the reception and the actual room in which we were settled.
The territory of the hotel is well-groomed all green, there are many chipmunks and 4-5 monitor lizards of different sizes.

The hotel corresponds to 4 stars, the prices in the hotel are democratic, you can have dinner or a snack a couple of times, but it will be cheaper in a cafe outside the hotel.
The ocean was very warm, 28 degrees, the temperature is just great, you feel comfortable. There were always waves, as it turned out the first 3-4 days the ocean was relatively calm, because the last days it was very difficult to swim because of the current.
We usually ate dinner in the room, took takeaway food from the King Fish cafe next to the hotel, a guy named Blaga works there, he speaks good Russian. When he was in the cafe, the food was delicious, if he was not there, then the food was not so tasty. And it was also hard to explain to the guys without him what you want, even in Russian, even in English : )
The hotel has a standard program for the day, sports or water games. There is yoga, 2-3 times a week. You can practice every day, but for an additional fee ($ 10 per lesson).
Alcohol is not sold in stores, you can buy it in cafes for 350-400 rupees for a pint of beer, but there are specialized stalls with alcohol, where the price is lower, we found 2 of these in South Kalutara, it is 2 km from the hotel, behind the bridge.
The locals there are different, but the main thing is I don’t advise you to ask someone something, because then it’s difficult to get rid of them. It seems, at first, that the person is just polite and wants to help you, but in the end he will beg for money for services or take him where it is beneficial for him, and not where you need to.
We did not take excursions, but we independently went to the beach in Bentota and to the turtle farm. We went to Bentota by train from South Kalutara (the train schedule can be viewed on the Internet or download the application on your phone). I really liked the beach in Bentota, the sand is very pleasant, but the waves were the same as in our hotel. From Bentota we went by bus to Kosgoda to the turtle farm. It was interesting to look at the turtles, the tour took 15-20 minutes.

In general, I would like to say that we liked Sri Lanka itself, a very specific climate, a little humid, the sun does not always shine, sometimes there were short rains after sunset, but this does not spoil the rest, even sometimes you rejoice in the clouds. The temperature during the day was 30-31 at night 26-27, i. e. warm day and night, it's very cool.
The biggest disadvantage is of course the flight, it is very exhausting, so it's really better to go for 10-14 days, not counting the flight. But, despite this, we would return to this country : )
