I appreciate the optimal combination of price and quality, I am aware of what can be expected from a 3 * hotel, and what from 4 *. I lived on the second floor, in a wing where renovations were being carried out. But it didn’t really bother me - the whole day on the beach, and when you closed the doors of the room you couldn’t hear anything. Due to circumstances, during these days we looked at several hotels. I want to say that the room at the 5* Blu Water in Vaduva for $380(HB) was no different from ours for $102(BB). The territory of the hotel is very good, especially since there is a 5 * Royal hotel nearby and due to their territory a large space is obtained. At first I was worried that I took only breakfast, but in the end I came to the conclusion that this was the best option. The cost of dinner, which you could easily buy at the hotel - $ 20 per person plus a drink. And in a restaurant we had dinner for 25-30 for two with beer (two women). Of course, the buffet is richer than ordering in a restaurant, but health is more expensive. After all, human greed is a terrible force and it is very difficult to stop. Our dinners at a hotel in Kandy turned into a binge and we waited for them to stop. But this is a subjective question. In addition, when we went out for fish picnics in the evenings, we were not morally pressured by a paid, but not eaten dinner. Now about service. It suited us. They cleaned every day, towels were also changed every day. Once they did not give one thing, but after a call to the reception they immediately brought it. The only thing that annoyed us was the frequent visits to the service room for nothing. Moreover, two knocks and the door opens, but the fact that you are not dressed - do not care. But we found a way. We went into the room - immediately hung "Do Not Disturb" and the visits stopped. I can give advice on souvenirs. Do not buy during tours. On the tourist street near the hotel, the lowest prices and even you can bargain. We had a three day trip across the country to a beach holiday. So, everything that we bought during the excursions turned out to be twice as expensive as what we later saw in these shops. I liked the rest. Maybe there is nothing to compare with, before that she went to Europe, Cyprus, Israel. I don't know if I would go a second time. There are many more places I haven't been. But it was worth going at least for the sake of the ocean.
I called my review "exotic and extreme". And the extreme of our trip was that at that time problems began with the tour operator "Proland" and we all felt it ourselves. I had to pay for a beach holiday a second time. Then there were unrest about the flight to Ukraine. Then Borispol did not accept us and 200 people were dropped off in cold Donetsk. We got home on our own. And I don’t know how the rest got to Kyiv by buses provided by the airline. The conclusion I made for myself. You should have as much money with you as the ticket costs plus for entertainment. Then you can not worry, safely return home and then solve the issues of compensation for material and moral losses.
