The whole bus was settled, we were gathered around the table and asked to sign a paper stating that the administration at the hotel is not responsible for the loss of things (I’m getting ahead of myself, on the second day of my stay at the hotel, while the child was swimming in the pool, they stole flip flops and our home towel, on the third day, the neighbor's shoes were stolen), only after that we were given the keys. We were traveling with two families, as they didn’t even ask us who wants where, but they gave us the keys, one family at one end of the hotel, the other at the opposite. In total, I had to wind up kilometers. Until I came to the reception and asked to move my family to a room next to us (he just got free). By the way, our room was on the ground floor with a through exit directly to the sunbed))), friends initially had it on the third floor, the view is cool, but no more. So overpaying is not worth it. The first one is comfortable. The minus of the hotel is monotonous food, lack of seafood (crab claws are not edible), AND stinky bedding, pillows (sorry for my Russian). I couldn't sleep. I removed all the pillows, the sheets were sprayed with perfume. Dampness, mold, all this is understandable, but the smell is sickening, fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!
Locals: people are not simple, cunning, they look at tourists as earnings. What they say is dangerous in a tuk-tuk is not true, you can ride a bus if you have healthy nerves, fast legs (jump on the go) and a loud voice (SHOUT, to pause). We went to the beaches "unawatuna" - medium waves, and jungle beach - complete calm. A couple of times I managed to jump on the waves near the hotel, and of course it’s scary....They also wrote about the lagoon next to the Kogalla Beach hotel, so this lagoon is 5 meters wide and 4 meters long, where the locals and their children swim....large jacuzzi : ) do not recommend.
Costs: 30 rupees bus fare per person, 60-100 tuk-tuk to the beach, lunch on the beach $15 (plate with 10 tiger prawns, salad and fries), fresh 300 rupees.

Guides from [deleted by moderator] - two Maxims, one brought us to the hotel and we never saw him again, we met the second the next day. Young, handsome, he told us about how scary it is to take excursions with the locals, that they are expensive and they don’t speak Russian. We believed and bought, as it turned out in three ways, the guide barely spoke Russian, only knew the dates of the facilities, the service was on a weak "3". Then we met a tuk-tuk, he drove us everywhere for free, spoke tolerable Russian, invited us to his house, treated him with shrimp : ) Advice: do not rush to take excursions from the guide!
There is no entertainment in the hotel.
When we went to the beach bus, in the morning and in the evening, they, like us, had rush hour, the iPhone fell on the road in short, because the DOORS IN THE BUS NEVER CLOSED and 5000 rupees from a friend. So the money was immediately picked up, and the phone (beaten, but working) was given away... local policemen on a moped, which pleasantly surprised us.
Excursion: Boat safari and Yala Zoo - complete garbage, no animals, rafting is dangerous. A two-day Kandy is a must. There is a turtle farm right next to the hotel, if you turn your back to the hotel, 200 meters along the beach to the right, entrance from an adult is 1000 rupees, a child is 500 rupees. Let them release turtles into the ocean - cool)
