1. Flight
To begin with, the flight is long and tiring, especially for those who are not accustomed to flights. Mi flew from Kyiv with a change in Sharjah. After that, I looked out the window and imagined how people would be in their cozy hotels in a maximum of an hour, from our plane only a few people went to transfer to Colombo. Waiting at the Sharjah airport: they already lay down, and ate, and sat, they wanted to spread and lie down on the floor. Then we were sent to another hall, where there were only Indians - and we sat there so well. And finally we are on the plane. We arrive, it’s dark outside, because it’s early in the morning, and now you think (after a long flight) I’ll go out into the street and breathe in fresh air, I’m so tired, I’ll take it off with my hand. I go out into the street and start to suffocate from 100% humidity and heat at night (we have never seen such a thing that at night the heat is like during the day) at 30 degrees. First, panic sets in, what to do and where to run.
And then they completely finish you off when they say that it’s still three to five hours to go to the hotel. There is only one thing in my head: help and why I didn’t stay in Sharjah, why I wanted to go to Sri Lanka. Then I also remembered people who flew even further from Colombo - to the Maldives and there on the ferry to the hotels. For the first time in my life, I didn't want to go to the Maldives. Here, at least in Sri Lanka, to survive ...this is an introduction for those who are in poor health, get ready and take at least some validol and some water. Our transfer looked like our UAZs and even chairs like that, but there were six of us - there were no traffic jams and we were driving along a toll road. We got there in 2.5 hours. This is the southernmost part of the country. Fatigue is hellish, but when you see this ocean??? ? such a huge and beautiful, and even under the windows, a very long deserted beach and you understand that the time was not wasted. In order for the room to be good, you need to immediately pay for delux seaview when buying a tour and it’s great when it’s also on the first floor.

Then you open the balcony and immediately run into the ocean.

2. The rooms are ordinary. Dampness of course will be everywhere at 100% humidity in the tropics. Everything is constantly moist and the skin becomes good, and no creams are needed. The food is not for my stomach, except for fruits (I did not like the mangoes, everything else is delicious, especially pineapples and bananas). The pastry is very tasty. Lots of spicy. The rooms have a kettle and water. In the evening, when it's dark, it's boring. You can order shrimp from the locals or sit at the bar, sometimes there were local dances and Sri Lankan weddings took place on the territory of the hotels. Interesting to watch. English is spoken, as I understand it, by those who studied at universities or study. There are Sri Lankans who speak very ??? ? well, but there are those who have such a meager stock of English words that they constantly have to pick up words that they know. Russian language is bad. Personally, I understood 50 percent of the information in Russian, better in English.
Well, the main advantage of the hotel is the beach and the ocean. There was no rain or one night.

3. Beachboys. Here is a completely different story. We read reviews that it is better to take excursions from locals, but not a tour operator. He came this tour operator, muttered something and ran away, somehow did not even insist on excursions. We looked at it and everyone had a question: Why???? ? came, maybe he just forgot what he wanted to say. And we went to the beach to look for adventures, but there is no need to look for the scourge of battles. They themselves, as if jumping out of the water. Here one found us and says that his name is Pasha. We were glad that it was not Gemini, since reviews are subjective, but we believed them. The bottom line is, don't mess with Gemini in any way, and it's described so eloquently that it's kind of creepy. And we kept hoping that we wouldn't meet him. Yeah??? ? .

So we talk to this Pasha (a very nice guy) and tell him that we were so glad to meet him, but not Gemini. It was a shock when (you can only call it that) Gemini popped up from behind. And Pasha is his friend. In short, we figured out something there who likes and dislikes who and why. We agreed with Pasha and left. The next day, Pasha with a day of fire was not to be found. And two women come up to us and say: "there is a group of whipboys - come with us, there are not enough people. " We agreed and then this guide turned out to be, yes, right ?????????????? ? Gemini. I had to go. Honestly, I was afraid. He, of course, is such a difficult character, very quick-witted, and it seemed to me that he almost sees everything with the back of his head. I kept waiting for some kind of trick.
He drove two more of his Ukrainian young ladies, apparently so that he would have something to do at the hotel, but at the same time he managed to do everything - tell the tour and joke, fed fruits on the way, and rode elephants, ran around the huge botanical garden, gave him tea (I recommended buying , but not strongly), I liked the ego attitude towards children - immediately some kind of joy and kindness appeared in the eyes, in short, I looked out for something bad (having read the reviews) and did not look out. If he likes someone from tourists, will he spend more time near them, even forgetting about his young ladies??? ? . He counts all the tourists, remembers everything instantly - the memory is excellent. He speaks good Russian, good English and German. In short, a normal guy.

Tours. Be sure to go on a two-day excursion to the center of the country and spend the night at the Panorama Hotel. I have never seen such a view from the balcony.
I asked his tourists how it was there. They were ready to kill Pasha, who dragged them there, they said that they almost died there. So it’s better for a weak body and health not to go there or take a daily excursion. The second day was Nuwara Eliya. The road there is an endless serpentine. Rocks even those who are not rocked. But we stopped to watch the waterfalls and recover. Well, at the top is the city of Nuwara Eliya, which is not like the rest of Sri Lanka. It's like being in a little Europe. The climate is amazing - fresh, cool, mountain air. The beauty. And the road to Nuwara Eliya is simply breathtaking: the landscapes are very beautiful.
Many thanks to Gemini for taking us there. Two days flew by unnoticed. Gemini flew to Moscow the next day to the young ladies and we were left without a guide. A man whose name was Siri stuck to us. It's just awful.

He took us by tuk-tuk to Matara for a lot of money, he doesn’t bargain at all and as a very unpleasant person. In Matara, he steamed leftist stores. I ask him to take him to one place, and he takes us to another. Boring and terribly annoying.
Way home. We drove five and a half hours from the hotel to the airport. They said that the driver really wanted to sleep and drove slowly so that people would not be killed if anything, and a girl was put next to him so that she would constantly wake him up ????
Well, all in all it was fun. Enough impressions for a lifetime. And also delicious shrimp, Gemini brought before his departure. Great boat trip on the boundless lake Koggala. Well, Galle Fort is not for everyone (after Nuwara Eliya, the impression is not the same).
