We arrived at the hotel at 12:00. - settled in immediately. The room overlooked the garden. From the pros: the room has air conditioning, refrigerator, electric kettle. Of the minuses: the windows do not open, so the room is stuffy all the time, despite the air conditioner is on, there is always not enough air. The room has a stable, though not too fast Wi-Fi - which is very convenient. The room was cleaned every day, towels were constantly changed, drinking water was brought in 2 bottles of 0.5 liters each, tea and coffee in bags - this despite the fact that I did not hand over the key to the reception, but carried it with me all the time. The territory of the hotel is clean and well-groomed. There is 1 swimming pool. On the terrace, where the sunbeds overlook the ocean, pleasant green grass grows, palm squirrels run. If you go, advice: take unroasted peeled seeds or nuts with you - squirrels eat them with pleasure, right from their hands. It was unpleasant that there were impudent crows on the palm trees - like in a garbage dump. The beach is very wide clean sandy.
Inconvenient entry into the ocean - due to the lack of breakwaters, even small waves knock you down and throw your face into the sand - you can even drown up to your knees. Therefore, it is better to swim in the lagoon - walk a little along the beach (on the water) to the left to the Fortness Hotel. When you go swimming in the lagoon, along the way you can visit the very interesting local museum of Martin Wickramasingh. (ticket only 200 rupees) To do this, from the beach with the lagoon, go up perpendicularly, cross the road, go a little to the left and there is a museum in the park.

Due to the location of the hotel, it is inconvenient that the hotel is very far from the airport, farther than other hotels, and also that there are no fruit shops and shops near the hotel - to find them, you will have to walk a little along the road (which is very inconvenient, because there is actually no pavement) or take a tuk-tuk.
In order not to go along the road, I walked along the beach, and then went out perpendicular to the road - since the passages from the beach were not closed there.

The tour was taken without meals. I ate mainly exotic fruits from local fruit shops, bought local pastries in shops (very spicy pies), sometimes dined at a grill cafe on the beach (landmark - fishing boats) - by the way, the menu is adapted there - there are practically no spicy dishes.

Visited an excursion to the turtle farm + Galle + river safari (The cost of this excursion is $ 30. ) from a local guide Patum? +9.77 60.9154 - you can meet him on the beach. You can text him via viber. https://www. instagram. com/srilanka_inthebestplace/? &igshid=nisigjt8tk8x

The tour was very interesting, rich, colorful - probably because we went by tuk-tuks and absolutely not tiring (we left in the morning at 8.30, and already at 14 we were at the hotel). Patum knows Russian well. And if you take excursions from him, he gives a tuk-tuk for free.
I bought very tasty, freshly cooked seafood from Patum: squid and shrimp - cheaper than in a restaurant. If you go to rest in Koggala, then feel free to refuse excursions from the tour operator and take excursions from Patum. You can’t see much in a week, but you also want to stay on the beach, so it’s better to take a tour to this place for 14 days - then you’ll have time to do everything and have a good rest.

In general, I recommend this hotel for a non-party secluded beach holiday, away from civilization, bars, discos and shopping.
