following fresh footsteps, I hasten to leave my impression of our vacation. flew out of Moscow with a change in Dubai. Of course, the road exhausted us very much and after 2 days we ended up in a magical land called Sri Lanka. it took about 2.5 minutes to get from the airport in a comfortable air-conditioned mini whisk. the road is good in principle (the track was only recently opened) and the amazing nature did not let you get bored. everything is interesting, everything is unusual. we just had time to look around. initially booked rooms in 3 * of the same network (koggala beach), but upon arrival we were told that there were no available rooms. this made us very sad. trying to explain in English, the hotel administrator and receptionists could not find our rooms for us. in response, they offered to settle for 3 days (i. e. , for half of our vacation) in an incomprehensible house built from a block, scary to the point of impossibility and it is not clear what is happening with food there and with the beach. we naturally refused and stubbornly stood on the fact that we want to live in the hotel where we booked the rooms. This whole rigmarole lasted for about 2 hours. in the end we were settled in 4 * long beach. we were basically fine with it. they are apparently not very good, but it didn’t really bother us anymore !! ! so we ended up in a 4 * long beach hotel. I'll start in order. the hotel area is quite good, two pools with fish at the reception. And yes, there are turtles. flowers, vases. all this creates a pleasant atmosphere of relaxation in an exotic country. the rooms are cozy. however, it also has its drawbacks. for example, not very fresh bed linen (with the smell of dampness and some kind of old age), towels are not to say that they are also ideal. with holes and spots. but it didn't really bother us. A/C worked well, ceiling fan turned on. It wasn't hot, that's for sure. They hardly watched TV because there were no channels in Russian. there was a safe in the room. the panorama from the balcony is another story. stunning ocean view. it is indescribable. and even the balcony is arranged so that from it you can go down the stairs immediately to the beach. it is very convenient I want to tell you. about nutrition. we had breakfast and dinner. This is enough. varied breakfast menu. Great selection of everything you can imagine. but the truth is every day this choice is the same!!! ! same for dinner. but I can't say that we were hungry. there was always meat, a large selection of vegetables, a large sweet table. there was always plenty of fruit for breakfast. there is less fruit for dinner. in general, you could choose to eat from what. There are two swimming pools, one larger and one smaller. in the second, the water was cleaner, because it splashed less to the people. from the animation it's only aqua aerobics around 11 o'clock. a young boy entertains pensioners from Europe mainly (there are, of course, Russian aunts). rest in the hotel can be called more "relaxation". there is no fuss of running around. we are not particularly fans of excursions, but we could not refuse such an opportunity to go see the whales. but I don't really enjoy it. went to the ocean in the morning. very cold in the open ocean. everyone is frozen. no one even warned us to take some warm clothes. for a very long and dreary weaving on a boat, which must have been written off a long time ago. along the waves. on wooden benches. in general, one place became a stake. and no longer wanted whales and nothing else. but in the end, all the same, we swam to these very whales. what we saw as a result is a trickle of air that the whale releases and then the tail.... in general, we were not impressed and we were looking forward to the end of our boat trip. We also went on a river safari. It all looks like a walk along the river on a motor boat. it's certainly quieter. a good walk, you can ride. went to a turtle farm. cool too. there are kids and huge turtles, just too heavy, we tried. like this. the rest of our vacation took place on the territory of the hotel, on the pool and on the beach. the ocean is very powerful. very unusual to deal with it at first. so strong that it just throws you ashore with great force. sand is everywhere. very difficult to wash off. but you can’t refuse to swim in the ocean because of this !! ! during our entire vacation, the ocean took three of my glasses, two baseball caps and swimming goggles. this is from our entire company. so be careful. you don’t understand how, but you emerge already without glasses or without a baseball cap. so you can sow gold easily. be careful with this. wi-fi catches both in the rooms and at the reception. but I want to say weak of course. but worked. ordered shrimp from the famous gemini. The shrimp are truly amazing. go with him, choose shrimp, and after a couple of hours bring them to the hotel ready with sauce. very tasty and inexpensive for our money. excursions were also taken through it. I won’t advise you to do this, because I took it more expensive than you could buy them elsewhere. anyway. In general terms, I really liked the rest, left a lot of vivid impressions.
