The vacation was planned very carefully and in advance, I re-read all the reviews, reviewed all the photos, the information no longer fit in my head. Svetlana (Happy Holidays) put everything on the shelves, for which many thanks to her! We chose the UNATAWATUNA BEACH 3 * hotel, I don’t understand why so little information and reviews about it on the internet. Quite a decent hotel, spacious bright room, cond, minibar, safe, TV, balcony, everything was available. was not. The hotel was 30% full, and by the end of the holiday it was about 80%. in any situation. We had breakfast-dinner, and for lunch we went to cafes on the beach (very tasty everywhere, I liked Lucky Tuna and Happy Banana the most : ) The hotel had delicious dinners (all types of meat, fish, seafood, vegetables, herbs and national cuisine dishes on a separate table). But ok Desserts finally finished off the figure, mmm : )) The local Lion beer is really tasty, but what kind of beer can there be if there is such a variety of fresh cocktails at a price of 190 rupees !!! ) Mango, papaya, banana, pineapple whatever your heart desires)
The bulk of the tourists in the hotel were British, Germans, Americans, there were only 2 pairs of Russians. There is a pool, but we didn’t swim there, because there is such a (! ) colorful fish). I didn’t want to get out of the water at all (considering that I don’t swim super well). It’s just a paradise for children, especially if you go from the hotel to the right at the end of the lagoon, there is a wonderful beach with a sandy bottom and a very smooth transition of depth. There are a lot of children learned to swim, and if you swim further with a mask, a wonderful underwater world will open : )
The locals really walk along the beach and offer you to buy different things, they love to be talked to, and do not turn away or pretend to be asleep, even if you do not buy anything, you can just chat about life and hear the wishes to have a good day : ) The most important thing is to set yourself up positively and you are guaranteed a great vacation : )

10 days at the hotel flew by very quickly, we got tanned (burned in places : ), gained strength, met many people, I bought several jewelry. I’ll say a few words about them... one wonderful morning walking along the streets of an unawatuna I saw in the window of a jewelry store the smiling face of a man, he invited us to come in and this is how our acquaintance with Mr. Zahir began (probably for a reason). He is a nice and friendly person who helped us a lot in everything, we came to visit him every day and listened to interesting stories about life people in Sri Lanka before and after the tsunami. He organized a 4-day trip around the island for us, became our guide, advised where and how best to buy. jewelry, simple design and very high quality stones, he has all the certificates he cuts, manufactures and sells. We took several sapphires from him, and sent the money upon arrival home : ) He knows who to trust And he makes nice discounts. If you need his help, his store is located near the Neptune Bay hotel and is called
gem view.
For 4 days we visited Yalla Park (lucky to see a leopard !! ), a carnival action on the occasion of the celebration of the new moon in the holy temple of Kataragama (I have never seen anything like this! ), tea plantations and golf courses in Nuwara Eliya, a botanical garden in the mountains, a city Kandy and the temple of the tooth of the Buddha and of course the magical Sigiriya, without which I now cannot imagine Sri Lanka.
Come to Sri Lanka and discover it for yourself, no reviews will convey the charm and bright colors of this country. .
