Good afternoon, dear fellow traveler! You have been working for Your own good for a long time, and now it is time to rest. Wonderful time! You should be well respected. Are you looking for a decent vacation spot? Ask yourself the first question: what do you want? If you are attracted only by a beach holiday + a super-comfortable hotel room + a 3-time "guzzle" + a sea of beer and various "screwdrivers" - you don't have to fly 10 hours for 7 thousand kilometers (the flight through Sharjah is quite tiring). You can get all this much closer, for example in Turkey or Egypt. But if you, despite some inconveniences, namely the littered streets of cities and towns, a poorly whitewashed ceiling in the room, scurrying geckos - lizards in the closet and on the ceiling of your room, a constantly falling off curtain in the shower, the territory of the hotel is also very conditional - organically merging with the surrounding buildings that have nothing to do with UBR (Unavatuna Beach Resort), and the cuisine in its assortment is slightly inferior to Turkish, besides, almost all of it is spicy, if you decide to go here - YOU WON'T REGRET!! ! People come here not for comfort (although the necessary minimum is present). Come here for EXOTIC! It is worth coming here to the Great and Mighty Indian Ocean, striking in its grandeur and beauty! For us, a hotel room is a night haven. The rest of the time we enjoyed the exotic - we went on one-day excursions and simply wandered among the local colorful population along the streets of Galle and Unawatuna, improving our English (it is very difficult with Russian there). In Sinhala, we learned a few phrases like Ayubovan (hello) and Hari ganan (very expensive) and used these expressions while bargaining with numerous beach and other merchants. The Sinhalese phrases we uttered delighted the local population. And what kind of nature is there! A riot of greenery, a lot of living creatures - constantly "peeping" chipmunks, colorful birds, flying dogs (at night), crocodiles in the Bentota River and meter monitor lizards importantly walking along the coast of Bentota, crabs and crabs, turtles (on reefs in the ocean) and corals - all this amazes and attracts to itself again and again!! ! Yes, we still have to pay tribute to the local population, namely their desire to return to normal life after the devastating 2004 tsunami. This catastrophe is spoken about not only by residents, but also by dilapidated buildings. I really want to go back!! ! God bless, see you, Unawatuna!! !
