Good day to all readers! We decided to go with my wife to Sri Lanka after the wedding, of course I doubted it, since the flight is very long, but later I realized that it was worth it!
Upon arrival at Colombo airport, we were met by a guide (Russian speaking) who helped buy a SIM card from a local operator, since my wife and I have difficulty with English and we went to the hotel. The road to the hotel took about three hours, as the traffic in the city is terrible.
The hotel is good, though not super new, but everything is clean. We really liked the food, enough meat (chicken), fish and national dishes of Sri Lanka.
On excursions we went not through the tour operator. We found a local guy named Mali (before that we read reviews about him), turned out to be a very decent and cheerful person with him and went on excursions. On the last day of our stay in Sri Lanka, Mali called friends, they lit a fire on the beach, brought their national drum and sang songs.
