The worst thing is that there is no hair dryer! Nowhere! Even in wretched 2* hotels all over the world, you can ask for a hair dryer at the reception, but not in Anezi Tower! I have long hair, I turned to the reception, they sent me down the corridor, saying: there is a hair-drying service there. Direction to the pool. Well, I guess there are hair dryers shared in the locker room by the pool. Aha! It wasn't there! It turned out to be a barbershop. Those. you can dry your hair in Anezi only for money! Who cares - take a hair dryer with you from home!
It takes about 10 minutes to stomp to the sea. It seems that you look from the balcony - it's not so far away. But in fact, the beach assigned to the Anezi Tower Hotel is located on the side, exactly opposite the Beach Albatros Hotel, by the way, it can be seen from the Anezi balcony. At the reception you need to ask for a ticket for the beach. They won't let you go without it. Coupons are given every day, they are valid for one day. Beach towels are provided by the pool, no deposit required. Be prepared for the fact that you will have to return to the hotel uphill, along rather steep steps. Who has problems with the musculoskeletal system, you should think carefully whether you will overcome such loads?!!
The only joy in the hotel is the food. The food is varied and very tasty! It is understandable, the chef used to work at Sofitel Marrakech. I can imagine what it cost to lure him away from Sofitel to some kind of Anezi! Either financially motivated, or personal circumstances!
I can’t say about the animation, I didn’t have time to delve into the topic. But visiting singers sing in the bar, different every day. The repertoire is pop, it seems to be nothing. Bartenders and waiters strive to cheat, keep your eyes open.
Drafts in the hotel walk. You can't sit in the lobby! Wi-Fi is free in the lobby, the signal does not reach the room. The speed in the lobby and bars is decent, and you can check your mail and chat on Skype.
There is a currency exchange at the reception, only it is closed all the time. I could not issue an electronic card for the safe, due to a system failure. They don’t change the currency - a failure in the system, you can’t issue a safe - a failure in the system! There are no hair dryers - also a failure in the system? Even Professor Preobrazhensky said that devastation does not begin in the closets, but in the heads!
The porters were also unpleasantly surprised. They grab your things, tearing them out of your hands! If you timidly try to object, they hiss in your face! Toothless, shabby! In stale clothes. B. . . r. . . r. . . r. . .
There are Russians in the hotel. I looked at them with compassion. The difference in price between the more decent hotels, on the first line and Anezi, is about 40-70 € per week. If the price of the issue is so acute, do not blame me later. The impression of the country as a whole depends very much on the hotel! That's it, after people check into strange hotels, then reviews about Morocco appear: they say the country is poor, wretched, not for a beach holiday! Meanwhile, the country is beautiful. With a rich history and original culture, diverse nature, unique cuisine, with beautiful beaches, a bewitching ocean and luxurious hotels in which you will be blown off dust particles and carried on your hands! Of course, for other money! )))
The hotel is almost in the center of tourist Agadir, located on the second line, ≈.300 meters to the beach, including an impressive staircase. The beautiful building rises above all the houses in the area, so there is an excellent view from the windows even from the side rooms.
The rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are large, the mattresses are good, but:
“Very, very old furniture. One light bulb didn't work.
- Plumbing is old, does not work well, makes noise. There is a bidet, but you can't use it.
— The linen is clean, but thin and the quality is very low. Synthetic towels.
- Carpets worn out, stained, it's disgusting to walk without slippers.
- No shampoo, no shower gel, put 2 soaps for a week's rest.
— Refrigerator and safe only for a surcharge.
- The doors are very loud, it is impossible to go out without waking up the sleeping husband.
- There is no Internet in the rooms, no Wi-Fi or wired, or even paid.
The food doesn't matter either. The range is very limited and changes little. Dinner is usually one kind of meat and fish, and the meat ends in an hour. The only fruit is watermelon. For vegetable salads - only cabbage and cucumber. There are several types of confectionery pastries, but a lot of dough, little sense. All water and alcohol for an additional fee. For breakfast, muesli, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, eggs, sausages, several types of buns. It's nice that Moroccan green tea is poured for breakfast (no worse than in restaurants) and fried eggs are fried in front of you.
Internet Wi-Fi is only at the hotel reception, so the chairs and sofas in the lobby are always crowded. They smoke there, right in the room, and so everywhere in Morocco.
Beach with sun loungers and umbrellas, about 300-400 meters. For some reason, when going to the beach, you need to take a piece of paper at the reception (such as a free pass). Why is it needed if hotel guests go to the beach with a key and hotel towels, it is not clear.
Other nuances:
— The hotel was undergoing cosmetic repairs. One of the three pools did not work, during the day you can sometimes hear a perforator or a grinder, sometimes you can see workers, but generally tolerable.
– There is no shop near the hotel, in order to buy water in the evening, you need to go outside the territory, go down the stairs, and walk 150 meters down the street.
- For 2 days, a healthy cockroach, 5 centimeters in length, walked along the corridors of the first floor. The guests were interested, they examined him, played with him, kicked him, went around under the wall, discussed him in the elevator, but no one pressed him. Then the staff noticed him and politely asked to use the toilet.
Regarding what to do in Agadir and Morocco in general, read my story on the same site.
The room is dark, there is no refrigerator, the air conditioner does not work. We announced this at the reception, they promised to do it within two days....it feels like they forgot about us at all, as a result, the air conditioner did not work until the end of our stay. Their plastic key cards were constantly demagnetized, sometimes they had to go down to the reception several times a day to magnetize them. From the very first day, the shower was leaking. . . had to approach them 4 times so that they sent a worker to fix it.
Meals were taken half board, in principle, everything is expected... There are practically no complaints about breakfast, the only thing is monotony; day after day the same thing. . . the dinner is more varied, but the lack of drinking shocked me . If you want to drink - buy water... and the prices at the hotel for this water are three times higher (there is a shop nearby where a 1.5-liter bottle of mineral water is sold for 5 dirhams (17.5 rubles), and the hotel has a smaller bottle ( liter, if I'm not mistaken) cost 15 dirhams)
The ocean is cold, the sand is wet and also cold, very often it blows some kind of haze from the ocean, because of which the sun hides and it becomes very cold... It’s good that the hotel has a pool, otherwise we wouldn’t buy it at all (though the temperature of the water in it also not very tall, especially in the morning). . . On the first day, walking around the city, I saw a girl (local) in a woolen jacket. Then I was very surprised: how can they walk in such warm clothes in such heat? The next day, in the morning, this fog blew... and then I myself wanted to dress in warm clothes.
Perhaps the only thing that I liked in this country is nature... Very green.
I’m generally silent about the local population....probably I just wasn’t ready for this. They are taught from childhood that nothing can be done just like that... A tourist came up to you, asked you to take a picture, let him pay the money. They asked for directions - see them off, then you can demand money for your service... and so on in everything... .
settled in the room only at 2 pm, although unfortunately they have the right to do so. first they gave a room with one bed (and we were 2 girls), then they changed it to a room in some kind of basement. no balcony, only one outlet! and that one is under the table, since I will fit under the table, but who is larger is no longer there. the holey towel and burnt bedspread no longer even seemed terrible after it turned out that the air conditioner was not working. during my 6 trips to the reception they promised to fix it, and by night it turned out that air conditioners weren’t working on this floor at all. Like, wait tomorrow, everything will be ok. I also had to take the batteries in the TV remote control myself. Why didn't I call the reception and go myself? so because telephong also did not work. and the wires under the safe are generally broken and fixed with adhesive tape, as, in principle, the telephone socket. the furniture is terrible, the room is dirty. on the promise to change the room the next day, they looked at me with innocent eyes and asked why I didn’t come at 11 and now they say it’s my problem, although they said to come at 8 in the morning after 12. and the guide just turned off the phone and her assistant never came. after much shouting, they offered a room that had not yet been cleaned and still with one bed. now they are asking to wait another hour and a half for the manager, since there is an Internet at the reception, from where I am writing this wonderful review. the territory of the hotel is small, the pools are tiny. stomp down the stairs to the sea, and then along the path. the ocean is cold, a crowd of people on the beach, but I promise that in 2 days Ramadan will begin and almost the entire local population will fall down. Unfortunately, nightclubs will also be closed. pleases only Wi-Fi and more or less tolerable food. Exotics in the city are much less than in other Arab countries. and a strong wind all the time and short rains. so far, unfortunately, the impression of the rest is disgusting. sadly looking at other hotels
From the pros:
The highest hotel, the windows offer a great panorama.
The hotel itself is not bad, clean.
Minuses:
There is nothing to eat there, the kitchen is just terrible, for breakfast only scrambled eggs, one type of cheese, one type of sausage (and extremely tasteless), cottage cheese and muesli and various buns. All. Thus, all 2 weeks we ate only scrambled eggs and cheese in the morning.
Dinner is the same story. The meat is indeed served in several types, but half is overcooked and dry, and the other half is peppered.
Moreover, every evening there are waiters who, with a gloomy look, monitor your plate all the time, to put it mildly, not pleasant ...
In this fruit hotel there were only tangerines, oranges and grapes. And only for dinner and in limited quantities!
They brought out one tray of fruit for all guests. By the end of the evening the tray was brought out again, that's all. There weren't even bananas.
It is simply not possible to go to this hotel with children! There will be nothing to feed them. Yes, not only children, but also our company of 6 people only had a normal dinner 2-3 times ....On the rest of the evenings, they ate just to eat at least something ....
Service:
The hotel staff is nice and helpful, but there are a couple of negatives that we encountered:
Cleaning in the room will be normal only if you constantly leave for tea, otherwise you can forget about the folded things, the garbage that you do not put in the wastebasket will remain in the room.
Well, the last moment, which terribly disappointed us:
It was always possible to change the currency at the hotel, but on the last day when there was a check-out (in Morocco it is forbidden to take out the local currency), the staff removed the official rate and offered to exchange currency at a rate almost 2 times lower!
The rest of the hotel is clean, the person is friendly, fluent in English.
In general, I would say that the hotel draws on such a good strong triple.
