Casablanca was the final city on our December trip, the emotions from the 4 visited cities were left behind and we were ready to accept the picture of the business capital of Morocco.

If you are interested to know how our route to Casablanca went, here is link to the beginning of Moroccan adventure.

We got to Casablanca by train from Rabat (ticket 37 dirhams). And then a slightly curious situation happened: we took a ticket from the Rabat Agdal station, the taxi driver brought us to Rabat Ville and as a result we got on the wrong train, but it didn’t matter - he still went to Casablanca (the controller didn’t even look during the check that we have a different train number on the tickets).

This is how the same Rabat Ville we left looks like.

And here is the situation inside the train, which was almost empty (the trains on this route, by the way, are double-decker).

Upon arrival in Kasa (namely, as the Moroccans themselves call it), we immediately checked into the hotel. The hotel quite strongly inspired thoughts about the colonial past and more and more immersed in performances, as business French used to rest here.

The interior of the room is quite modest, and if not for the plasma on the wall, the feeling of immersion in the 50s would definitely be provided.

After resting for a couple of hours, we moved into the city. And the first thing that struck us was the architecture! Why are there different buildings here.

Each is unusual in its own way, but at the same time they harmoniously coexist with each other.

Here, for example, is the bank building, which is completely different from the residential building located nearby.

And here is a photo of one of the intersections, where the architecture of the past and the present is intertwined.

And all this is the real hallmark of Casa, in order to fully experience the city, it is enough just to look around well.

Modern office buildings, of course, also exist, there is no escape from globalization.

The visual picture will please any tourist, and sometimes you even catch yourself thinking that Casablanca is not quite like the rest of Morocco.

You feel some special charm and history in this city. Even if you just pay attention to the little things, let's say a sign on one of the streets.

And this is how the mailbox looks interesting, which is not a box at all, but part of the wall.

But, by the way, we admired not only the architecture itself there, as respectable tourists we went to see the Hassan Mosque (for more details on this in the video report ).

The mosque itself and the surrounding area look amazing. Unfortunately, we could not get inside, as visiting hours for tourists are limited, and we were slightly behind.

And it is located near the ocean, which we decided to use and go to stand on the embankment (after Rabat we again needed this view).

People are fishing on the embankment, I don’t look at the time of year and weather conditions, it’s hard to say if something is caught here, they didn’t dare to go so far over the stones for clarification.

After the embankment, we intended to see the Arab League Park. There were a lot of beautiful photos of this place on the Internet, but when we got to it, we were a little confused - some kind of construction was going on around. Later we found out that the park was being reconstructed, but we captured the moment of the visit.

Going to walk around the city again, we came across such a Mercedes-taxi, I don’t know if such cars were produced from the factory, but it looks very old school.

We already had plans for the evening: that day was the Champions League, and our goal was to find a place where the match between Shakhtar and Manchester City would be broadcast. The task was not an easy one, as all of Casablanca was going to watch the Real Madrid match that evening.

After going around a huge number of bars and almost all the more or less decent hotels, we still found a bar where we were able to set up a broadcast. Moreover, the bar was able to please us again when they brought us the menu, and we saw the prices (beer for 19 dirhams, and beer snacks are served for free).

The next day was a farewell day for us and Casablanca. After having breakfast at the hotel, we collected our things, caught a taxi and went to the railway station.

From there we traveled by a simpler train than here (where we smoked in vestibules and it was scary to go to the toilet). The trip from Casa to Marrakech cost us 95 dirhams (that's $ 9.5).

After spending the night in Marrakesh, we put an official fat end to our trip and were ready to return home.

If you want to know more about our trip to Morocco, I also recommend watching the video report.
