If you have already decided for sure that you want to go to Malta, and only
there, then you can ignore my review. But if you still
doubt and ponder which country to go to - then read.
I just want to say right away that this will be a global anti-advertising of Malta.
I didn't like it at all, the worst vacation I've ever had
travel.
Settled in the hotel "Qawra Palace", gave a room on the ground floor,
where there is only one small window, there is no balcony at all, and under the window
some unit is constantly buzzing.
For me, the "adventure" began already on the 2nd day of my stay,
when I went to meet my guide in the morning, then to breakfast, and then I found
already cleaned room and...missing money and my traveler's checks. I reported
about this to the hotel manager, for some reason he wanted to look at my suitcase,
where they disappeared from (apparently, this is very important, more important than immediately, on hot
trace, find the culprits! ).

Then I spent almost half a day at the police station,
where they compiled a report. Upon my return, I still had a conversation with
the chief security officer of the hotel. The old Maltese asked again what
and when it was gone, and then he said that it was necessary to search all my
things (allegedly I was looking badly! ). Of course, I did not agree that an outsider
the man studied my personal belongings. Then he called the girl from the reception,
and she began to rummage diligently in my suitcase and purse, it all looked
very humiliating. Not finding the missing person, they left, and until the end of my vacation
did not even deign to tell me about the result of their alleged "investigation", although I
I suspect that they simply turned a blind eye to this, because on the last day I talked with
one girl who cleaned the rooms (she turned out to be from Russia), so,
no one in the hotel ever heard of any missing!

After half a day, I finally managed to get to the beach.
All the sun loungers were already occupied (the system is such that without a mattress - for free),
I had to sit on a chair under an umbrella at the bar. Beach by the sea (or rather, its
absence) leaves much to be desired: slippery stones, rusty stairs
and a bunch of jellyfish that sting very painfully.
Breakfasts are all monotonous, by the end of the week I could no longer watch
on fried eggs and sausages. As it turned out later, regardless of
the number of stars in each hotel give the same.
In the evening in our area Aura - Bugibba from entertainment only
long walk down the boardwalk to St. Paul's Bay, people go there
in cafes or just gawk at the shops. Prices respectively
designed for the thick wallets of tourists. I needed an adapter
to an outlet, in a hotel this was sold for 3.50 euros, and in a shop
further away I found the same one, but already for 2.92. So don't rush to buy.
all at the hotel.
For young people, rest and education in Malta may be going well,
especially if they settle in the Sliema and San Julians area, I also wanted to go there, but

travel agencies do not confirm these hotels, I had to be content
Aura. I hoped to travel around the country on my own (fortunately, she is in
length is only 30 km), but upon arrival they began a week-long strike
buses, so that all plans collapsed. Even tours were cancelled.
It's okay with them.

I want to emphasize again that the people in Malta love to take what,
as they say, lies on the edge. According to the reviews of vacationers, and the local
of the population, my case (theft) is far from being an isolated one. On the last day
we had a late transfer and I asked the reception to stay in the room
until the evening. On that day, a girl already "familiar" to me was working, rummaging
in my things. Imagine my surprise when, instead of
enter the situation and meet me halfway, she demanded an additional payment of 25 euros,
moreover, she said that she could only give another number, they say, my number is already
will be busy now.
I started "relocation" to another room; first corner
room, very noisy, plus it turned out to be a disabled room.
I hastily left some of my clothes in the closet of the old room.
I asked the front desk for the key to pick it up. I go in - the room is cleaned,
my things were blown away by the wind. Barely managed to knock back my clothes,
after an hour of searching. And my room, which I asked me to leave,
and remained empty until the evening! I don't understand this attitude.
to tourists: perhaps only to our "Russians"? But we pay
the same big money as any other vacationers.
I repeat - the service is very, very low level. And no certainty
the safety of your belongings. All this is very annoying and does not give any
moral (and physical) rest.
Over the years of traveling, I have stayed in less than star hotels,
but even there there was no such lawlessness.
So, think well, do you need such a dubious rest,
with all the ensuing consequences. If any questions arise,
I will be glad to answer them or help with advice. Write
