The most negative impression. We had booked another hotel. Since there are practically no signs with street names and house numbers anywhere in Malta, we went to the Park Hotel ****. I showed a printed booking sheet (Europe hotel **). But instead of telling me that we made a mistake, and the hotel we needed was on a parallel street, the Park hotel employee said that everything was correct, pay and check in. The cost in this hotel is much higher than in the Europe hotel booked by us almost 2 times, but we were charged only the amount indicated in the booking sheet. I got the impression that the hotel staff simply appropriated this money, since we were not given a check when paying, and when we left, no document about accommodation and payment was issued either. In addition, we pre-booked a taxi for 5 am. The girl at the reception said that it would cost 30 euros. In the morning it turned out that none of the employees had ordered a taxi. With great difficulty, I got the employee to make this order, but he said that he had to pay 25 euros, then he would call us a taxi. And until I gave the money, he did nothing. . When the taxi arrived, the driver approached the employee, who, trying not to attract attention, handed over some amount to the taxi driver. I got the impression that the hotel employee called his friend a taxi driver and gave him only part of the money. All this creates the impression of dishonesty of the hotel staff. It is possible, and in my opinion, absolutely certain, they are hiding money illegally received from the guests from the hotel owners.
