I'll start from the very beginning!
We took a ticket from the tour operator "Tez Tour" (checked - we have been trusting for more than a year !! ! ). We ourselves are from Ukraine, so the choice was either to fly Kyiv-Dubai-Male, or Moscow-Male (direct flight). We immediately stopped at the second one, because it was cheaper (as much as $ 1200) and according to the dates of departure it was the most convenient. Therefore, we decided to get to Moscow - by train (they took reserved seat tickets for 500 UAH one way per person, since there were no others).
What is convenient in Moscow is that there is a direct train from the Kursk railway station without stops to Domodedovo Airport (it will not take long to reach half an hour), but we were driving by car, our friends met us.
We flew from Moscow to Male via the Transaero airline, Boeing 777-200ER.
Upon arrival in Male, representatives of the "Tez Tour" immediately met us and handed us over to the representatives of the airline, which transports tourists to the hotel on a small plane - an air taxi, we called it "maize", with a capacity of 14 people. We were shown to a cool waiting room where we were handed wet towels and a cold cocktail. 10 minutes of waiting and we took off again from Male airport to our island, which is located on Baa Atoll, the flight lasted 38 minutes.
It was then that one of the most interesting excursions in the Maldives began. In the porthole window, all the beauty from a bird's eye view was revealed - islands, reefs, ocean, clouds. The view is simply breathtaking!
Therefore, when choosing a transfer from the airport to the island, I do not recommend refusing such pleasure, because there is also a transfer by boat.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were again greeted with 5+ with cool wet towels and a coconut cocktail. If you are newlyweds (you can say in English “Honeymoon”), I recommend reminding you of this just in case at the reception. Before check-in, we were given a room key, information about the island and the hotel in Russian, as well as a 30% discount on the SPA-salon, which must be used within 3 days from the day of arrival - I will talk about this below. Settled very quickly! Number as requested in the application, they gave the right one! In the room as a gift there was a fruit basket and a bottle of champagne, and it was also decorated with flowers similar to a Chinese rose.
All the staff speaks English, so there will be no problems with explanations of what you need, well, if you don’t know English yourself, of course! ? But in this case, there is a Russian-speaking girl at the reception, her name is Leana, she herself is a Latvian from Riga. We became very good friends with her, she is a nice and friendly girl. But it happens not all day in the hotel, mostly after 18.00.
On the island, throughout the hotel, it is not necessary to carry money with you at all, there is a system of checks, i. e. if you need something, you order, say the room number and you are immediately issued a check, and you put the room number and your autograph on the check . And already on departure, you are handed all the original receipts and the total amount at the reception - and you make the payment. Here is another most important point, for all purchases on the island, even for excursions (with the exception of the souvenir shop), 10% service charge is added, or as we used to call “tips”.
For food, we chose the FB option, that is, a full boarding house - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is varied: Maldivian (mostly spicy), Italian, Japanese (sushi) and European. A lot of fruits and seafood, namely a variety of sea fish in various cooking methods. In general, food for 5+.
All booze is paid, including ordinary water (although they give 1 bottle of non-carbonated 1.5 liters of water per day). In the main restaurant, your table and waiter are assigned to you for the entire period of rest. I say right away that if you don’t like your table, don’t be shy and ask to change your table, I recommend it near the pool with fish!

But we were not lucky with the weather, we left the island, everything seemed to be fine, and suddenly the wind picked up, the water on the reef became unclear and practically without living creatures. Therefore, we enjoyed the variety of reefs, but the sight is also pleasant. But in comparison, I can say that the underwater world around our island, where our hotel was no worse, in some places is an unforgettable beauty. Our number was number 148. I recommend rooms for settling from 140 to 207. This is the opposite side of the island, if taken from the reception. It is quieter there, the ocean, the coast, the sand are more beautiful, and in other respects everything is better there.
By the way, right in front of our room in the ocean from the shore, about 70 meters away, right behind the breakwater (a small mound of stone in the ocean) we saw several decent-sized moray eels, a large turtle, and also a shark up to about 2 meters long. And so along the coast, where the depth is below the knees, shark cubs often swim - sharks 40-50 cm long. But if we compare the flora and fauna of the Indian Ocean with the Red Sea, then the Red wins! I do not recommend, but for a change you can! ?
There is also an excursion with a trip not far from the island to the reef in order to look at the manta rays floating in the open ocean. This is a kind of stingrays, but only they are harmless and harmless. This tour cost $50/person. The duration is also about 2 hours. On this excursion there were eyewitnesses who saw a huge shark, but the guides accompanying them said that its length was about 7 meters (but it seems even larger to the water).
But the shark was reef, so it only scared me with its unexpected presence and that's it. One girl was actually slightly touched by a fin - can you imagine how much adrenaline there was! ! ! Recommend!
We also went on an excursion, which includes visiting 2 islands: one inhabited by locals, in order to see their culture, school, shops, mosque, local streets and much more; and the second one is completely uninhabited: there we could retire, go through thickets that looked like a small jungle, and in the end the attendants came to us, brought everything we needed for a picnic, and made us lunch on a desert island right on the shore - romance is not the right word, but so tasty. And then at the end of this day trip, it was planned to visit another more beautiful reef for snorkeling. The duration of the entire excursion is from 9.00 to 17.00, the cost is $ 80 / person. Recommend!
An excursion with a trip to the capital Male, as it seemed to us, is not so interesting, although you also need to visit there. The fact is that the road from our island is too long, by boat about 3 hours. Therefore, we changed our minds, especially since we looked at her from above when we flew by air taxi from the airport to the island.
There is also the opportunity to dive with scuba diving, having completed a preliminary dive with an instructor. The cost is about $65 for a dive lasting about an hour. There is a large football field, several tennis courts, a badminton hall, 2 tables for table tennis, a gym with an instructor, a huge number of water sports at affordable prices. By the way, there is a Russian-speaking instructor in the diving center, his name is Misha. Good guy!

And part of this people are divers. We even met one couple, they forgot the charger for the camera at home and wrote an ad in front of the restaurant asking for help)))) They say that at this time it’s just great to dive there, a lot of different sea creatures and turtles and manta rays and all sorts of fish come to dive.
