We rested at the 5 * Kihaa Maldives hotel, when we were choosing options, we had two main requirements for the hotel: to have a good reef and good food, and, well, value for money. The managers at ICS did not quite cope with the selection of the hotel, they advised us Kihaa Maldives as an excellent hotel that suits our request.
We regretted this a hundred times, but I will tell you about the hotel in detail later.
Flight: direct flights turned out to be expensive, travel agencies do not have charters, we were persuaded to fly with Qatar Airways with a connection in Doha, they promised that a short 3-hour connection would not tire us much... It's creepy to fly like that! In addition, we also chose a hotel that would be reached by an internal flight and then sailed on a boat. So consider, first from Moscow to Doha, then from Doha to Male, then another plane flies for 20 minutes to the domestic airport on one of the islands of the Maldives, and from there it takes another 10-15 minutes to sail on a boat to the hotel itself. We arrived at the hotel after sunset and literally fell off our feet. Good thing we made it to dinner. The room was already seen normally only in the morning)). I’m generally silent about the way back, there was an early departure, and all these transfers / flights, my tongue on my shoulder also came home.

So, about the hotel: quite good 5 *, if we talk about rooms, territory, etc. , a good level, the island itself, on which the hotel is located, is quite large and very green. Our room was a lagoon prestige beach villa, it stands on the first line, a separate exit to the beach. The villa is spacious, a huge four-poster bed, a table and chairs, two huge wardrobes, there is an additional sofa, apparently for couples with children. Bathroom as usual in the open air, two showers, two sinks, bath, bidet. There is a safe and mini bar in the room. On the beach side, there is a spacious veranda with a sofa and a table overlooking the ocean. On the veranda there is a foot shower to wash the sand off the beach. Sun loungers and umbrellas in front of the houses. In principle, all amenities are available. We really liked the room, beautiful, cozy and stands in the shade of palm trees - it was comfortable in it. The houses are located, as it were, in two rows, one on the first line, others, as it were, a little behind them, as if the second line, we lived on the first line.
The biggest minus of the hotel is the food! We took all inclusive. Just a nightmare! Of course, there is a variety, but the quality... all the pastries are somehow not fresh, the rolls seem to be yesterday, stale. The meat was often tough, it was impossible to chew. Salads are only greens, leaves, as if there were not enough vegetables. There was little fruit if you come to dinner later - they simply don’t get it, fruits were more often just canned, or something like a fruit salad, that is, all the leftovers were cut. Fish is always only one kind. Grilled fish, for example, we never waited for 10 days of stay. The breakfasts were pleasing - there were muesli, cereals with milk, delicious porridge. Quite decent coffee. Yogurt NO! For me it was just stress.
Cocktails at the pool bar are made by girls - bartenders. Either it's just not their forte, or they don't know how at all, but alcoholic cocktails are disgusting, each time they had to control the cooking process, ask them not to pour rum into Mojito, and mix everything thoroughly. Non-alcoholic cocktails, by the way, are surprisingly tasty))
As for the reef (this was our second main requirement for the hotel) - the reef is really good, but not big, a lot of fish, huge jellyfish, stingrays have been seen many times. The turtle was once "caught" in the camera. A huge plus of the hotel - there is a biosphere reserve nearby, Manta rays are found there, excursions to the reserve are made from the hotel. We went, saw three stingrays, the impressions are of course amazing, they are so huge that it takes your breath away! But one note: it's better to take a wetsuit in the diving center of the hotel, because it takes a long time to swim, the rays do not swim right away, we even froze in the water for so long. And the skin can burn in open areas of the body, no matter how you smear with cream.

Every evening in the hotel from the pier they feed marine life, small sharks swim up, a bunch of stingrays, as if tame, turtles are not uncommon guests, they sail for a treat. Great attraction!
In general, of course, I can’t call the rest 100% successful this time, because the jamb came out with food. The food is just a disappointment, although the hotel liked it. I want to add right away that we are not very picky, but other tourists rested with us at the hotel, we talked with them and asked for their opinion - many were not satisfied with the food.
