At the hotel, the maids and other hotel workers steal. Be prepared for something to be stolen from you. Safes are very small and you can put documents and money there. But there is nowhere to hide expensive things. My wife has lost a lot of things. When the hotel administration was reported missing, they simply shrugged and said that they often have this and that they can’t do anything about it. Lots of bed bugs and cockroaches. My friends have a small child. Bed bugs bit him the first night. I had to take her to the doctor. It cost them $180. You also have to be very careful with food. Our friend got very badly poisoned by meat. It was not completely cooked and was not the first freshness. The hotel itself is in a very beautiful location. . And in the past you can see it was a very good hotel. But now the service is just awful. I would recommend choosing another hotel for your holiday. The hotel is too overrated. The view from the balcony to the Caribbean Sea is something unimaginable that can only be understood by seeing. A bit difficult to manage showers, but you can figure it out. The service does not correspond to the situation and claims for 5 *. When we checked in, our suitcases were taken from the reception, they said that they would take us to the room and they would take us there, but wait 5 minutes. We waited 10 min. and nothing. To dine, you need to book a table with the concierge a day in advance, which you need to look for throughout the huge hotel. Without it, they will not be fed. In a seafood restaurant, the assortment of these seafood is not even meager, but miserable, they are cooked tasteless, moreover, eating this food is afraid of the consequences. In a restaurant with Mediterranean cuisine, the food is generally disgusting for a lot of money: seafood soup is 3 shrimp and 1 scallop, which the waiter poured broth from a jug (probably from a cube), a seafood appetizer is a huge plate and again 3 shrimp on it . Such a dinner cost more than 800 pesos (80 US dollars). HORROR!! ! Therefore, to eat you need to go to restaurants outside the hotel. But the trouble is that all of them are not very close. Also, imagine our surprise when we open the door to the room and see that it is already occupied by a couple who have checked in an hour before us. The porter who came after us apologizes, the maids passing by quietly giggle and after a few minutes they give us the key to another room... Well, I would not want to be in the place of that half-naked girl who miraculously managed to hide in the bathroom, seeing that door opens. . .
The room cost us a little less than $ 400 for 3 nights (this is only with breakfast). However, Cancun itself is not a cheap resort. In addition, excellent service, a nice room with a balcony overlooking the bay, two large pools and a beautiful, very well-kept grounds - all this is worth the money.
